Would be interested in this too - there are no overall settings any more (hall, concert etc), just the EQ..

Triple ditto. Got '09 E92 w/ logic and I drive. Do the settings listed in the first post still give the desired sound?

Thanks for sharing the settings. I just bought a CPO '07 E90 and they sound great. One question about speaker distortion. Every now and then I hear some cracking coming from the front tweeters. Since it's a CPO, I'm wondering if they need to be replaced. I don't notice it all of the time, really just with a few songs.

Is that normal, or would you have them checked out? I don't really want to deal with a dealer visit unless I know there is an issue. Any suggestions on how to confirm the distortion on my own?

Rear Speakers

Thanks for the post. I took my car to the stealership because the rear speakers seemed to fade in and out. Dealer couldn't replicate and of course did nothing. Good to know I wasn't imagining the problem.

Hey guys, just a little update. I will try to post up the settings today or tomorrow.

Since I sold my last 2008 E92 with Logic7 and no iDrive, I now have the first M-Sport E92 on the west coast. I ordered it with iDrive and Logic7.. Have had it for almost 2 months now, but I will post up the settings.

The old settings wouldn't be ideal for the new iDrive's and Logic7 as SOMETHING has changed in the surround processing and imaging. It is far better than before.

Stay tuned guys!!

I'm posting this question here because I know you'll be back soon with your new settings Malek, and you seem to know this system inside and out. I'm wondering if you can help me out with something I noticed yesterday. I was listening to a song from my iPhone with your settings, with surround set to Music. All of a sudden, I notice a major shift in the music from the front to the rear, and it sounded really good. It's repeatable at the same point in the song. I don't know how the signal processing works, but I'd say 95%+ of the song is imaged up front, but there is that one section that filled in the back. What causes that, is it normal? Is it the rear fader issue I see people talking about? Is there a way to get it to play the sound more fully with the rear speakers (I've tried moving the fader of course). I bought my car used a month ago so am just getting used to it, and have read some posts about rears cutting in and out, but don't know if there is a remedy of if that's what I heard. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I was just about to use the settings at the beginning of this thread until this update that they aren't optimum for 2009 models. I'm looking forward to the 2009 model update! Actually, mine sounds great as is, but I'm always interesting in improvement.

I must say, after all this time I finally tried the E90 setting, and I'm astonished on how amazing it sounds! I now admit I knew nothing about how to adjust the EQ correctly. Thank you!

Just got an E93. Crazy about the car. Not so thrilled with the Logic 7. Very interested in any suggestions for fine-tuning the 2009 equalizer. Thanks!

Very well balanced settings overall on my 2008 E92. I'm assuming these settings are based on your experience with an RTA in-car? I didn't see your original post where you probably explained where the optimum settings came from.

Any changes you would suggest for an E93 driven only with the top down unless it's pouring?

Got an 09 e93 with Logic 7 and somehow I just feel that my 07 e92 I had before had far better music sound. And that was with a stock sound system. I don's know what is wrong as I expected the Logic 7 to be even better somehow. Played around with the EQ and even tried the recommended settings. Something not right. Thinking of going aftermarket now.

Completely agree. I have the same lovely car and the sound system just doesn't sound right. Just tinny somehow. And if the previous settings are used, the bass is very muddy. If you come up with some settings you like, post 'em. I'm reluctant to do too much aftermarket stuff in a lease.
