they would still move volume and make more money that is the thing. For the few you lose you will make it up becase everyone is paying a premium. We move volume where I am at also without giving cars away. Other stores do move more volume but that has nothing to do with giving a car away. Giving a car away for 1000 over is just plain dumb. It is hard for people to understand this that are not in the business.

Define "lackluster". How much worse will 3 series sales be? 10%?

Re: giving away cars

Try to find a dealer who will give away a car, and by give away I mean take $1000 off, seriously people, I am in the business, and i assure you if you want the car, you will pay for it, cause there is 50 people behind you, who are wanting to take delivery. $1000, really? I would pay an extra $30 a month to have the car now, rather than later. If you don't want to, thats cool.....Larger dealers moving units...Lol, seriously. Allocation is allocation, and the demand will be there trust me, more than what you expect. all the nurses in the area, the single ladies looking for the new hot coupe,AWD, they will be rolling in by the dozen. Everyone i sell will pay STICKER. You want it, you can have it.The demand will justify the price. in April I sold a Z4 3.0 is for sticker, why? cause it was one of the first ones off the truck, now I have 6 on the lot, we discount them sure, but that first hit always will happen.

IIRC, the 2006 Z4 started the year with trunk money. You clearly have a whole bunch of uninformed buyers in your area.

For every person buying at $1000 over invoice, there is another paying MSRP on a car with trunk money. You want to focus on the uninformed; this forum is for the informed.

And there are tons of people who have already put in their ED order for delivery in early Oct at $1000-$1500 over ED invoice.

You are better off spending your time somewhere else where you can troll for the uninformed buyer.

Just got the confirmation of the price from my CA. I will be paying ($1250 over ED invoice) $43620 + tax + destination for the following doing ED:

Sparkling Graphite Metallic Paint
Cream Beige Leather w/ burl walnut
6 speed Automatic
Paddle Shifters
PDC
Premium Package
Sport Package
I-drive with navi

I will be going on Oct 6th, along with 3 others to get their new 335i. I can't wait.

My CA also informed me that they will have traffic updates for the Navi on the new 335i!! Can anyone confirm this?? He said it will be free for 4 years too.

so the ED Invoice price is set already? If so what is it? I think I can probably work backwards and subtract your options from the price you listed but...

When will this be available! I want to order it now.

Also, I negociated 750 of msrp for the car. Does this mean I get to negociate any more with the options or no? looks like he will make 3250 for the car and 1600 for the options... so near 5k over invoice and im getting only $750 off. Am i getting a bad deal or should i just be happy i got any discount.

ps. My guess was 39,990.

Yes, but a Lexus IS350 blows out a 330i in terms of speed, it's more comparable to the new 335 than the old 330 IMO.

Do you guys know what kind of discount (if any) I should be expecting if I am willing to pay cash?

Is this a serious comment? You're tired of dealerships that only want to make a small/marginal profit on a car and not try to take their customers for all they can?

Regardless of the fact it may be a new model?

What exactly are they "ruining for everyone"?

Not "we" but you're gonna get it with $500 off. Let me tell you something. $1000 over the invoice to sell the car when it hits the dealer or $500 below the MSRP and the car has to stay at the lot for months? The longer the car stay at the lot, the more money the dealer loses. Anyway, sale managers make commissions based on sale volume, not prices. Remember that.

Now, please stop that topic 330i vs. IS350. Everyone know IS350 only wins in the straight line. For others, no competition here. End of story.
