It's pretty obvious shiv is getting stung by his nemesis(bms/terry) pretty hard. Terry's sales, customer service and CUSTOMER LOYALTY(not to mention price & performance) are far superior to shiv's canbus/rev3/version&^%$#!... At least terry cares about his customers, offers a buy-back program and supports all of his products.
I remember way back when all the vishnu customers were talking smack on dinan and their pricing... well it looks like you vishnu people are spending AS MUCH money if not MORE than us with Dinan and you don't even get a warranty

For all the help you guys give shiv and vishnu, do you at least get a free tube of lube when he bends you over

What the point of this comparsion chart most of it is not even really true from what I can tell. I have read every post in this thread and its a joke.
My biggest complaint is this:
Proceed 1.47 = $ 1000
V2 upgrade 250ish
V3 PNP upgrade 500ish....
V3.2 Rev1 almost 2 grand later more or less and NOW WE ARE STIFFED UNLESS WE PAY AGAIN $695 AND WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING NEW THANKS TO CANBUS

So after $3000 dollars we will get canbus nice way to go winner...
and this is coming from an original 2007 Procced user

Here's a chart

Bubbles:
Dinan Flash $1,800
Procede V3 Canbus $950
Total: ~$2,750

marcvtec:
total outlay $3,000

Kudos, for a very honest post. I'm surprised more don't feel that way.

Plus the non-PNP version of the JB3 is $379 if you want to review true cost effectiveness of the tunes.

Plus the fact that even the $579 price - BMS' trade-up upgrade policy automatically puts miles apart for the Total Cost of Ownership of the tunes. Something long-lasting PROcede owners irk at every time a new version comes out. Ask the Rev I guys.
I completely agree that the competition has helped, not hurt the community. I'm one who has fully paid throughout the entire procede lifecycle, but I also understand you pay to be an early adopter, and try some of these "first to market" functions.

I'm glad that there are choices.

If BMS and Vishnu were leap frogging each other in terms of completley new functionality (like Nvidia and ATI in the graphics card area) then BMS would be the standout when you look at the upgrade credits. I just see (from the start of BMS) that Vishnu gives the new functionality and BMS is the catch up player in that regard. Then people tend to make the argument that even with the new functionality and additional costs with Vishnu that BMS is still a, if not the, top performer in getting the car down the road/track. I can't argue with that at all!

I don't have any regrets in my choice of tune, and I hope every n54 owner feels that way about their choice.

As someone with no tune, someone looking for a tune, and someone who has been here since late 2005 and understands everything going on, I find this whole thread to be lame to the extreme.

Shiv, just put the thing up on your web site. Why ask us for input? What do we know? The only reason is to stir the pot on E90, knowing that (apparently) Terry can't respond in person, and to remind prospective customers that JB3 isn't the only game in town.

Lame lame lame.

Actually, this has been shown to be incorrect. When the offsetting is applied to the timing curves, the JB3 consistantly runs more overall advance. That is a telling matter when pertaining to this discussion. One can argue the benefits of CPS offsetting. But one should not blatantly lie about what a product does or does NOT do.
