i think our best bet is to have someone on here or a relative of yours that lives close to creative pick it up whether or not it is ready and ship it to you themselves, otherwise i dont see you getting it back any time soon

My current belief is that I will order a new ECU from Crown BMW over the weekend and then let other people like BBB deal with these folks. Or maybe my prayers to Bavarian Saints will be answered and the ECU magically pops up with 330i power on it... Last edited by FinnVette; 02-23-2007 at 04:05 PM.. |

Ok, as expected I got no response from Creative. As a result, new stock 325i ECU is in order from Crown BMW. Interesting side note is, that at the same time they (Creative Autoworks) are responding to other threads in this forum.
I have also contacted BBB and they are working to find a settlement between Creative Autoworks and me. Let's see how all this works out, but I will continue to try to complete this project. |

Unfortunately, that's not possible trough BMW. As we know part numbers for both are the same, but they will program the ECU to work with my VIN # and that way it becomes a 325i ECU.
Like said, I'm not going to give up yet. However we might need some other tuner to really "crack the code" in the DME MSV70 before this works out. Last edited by FinnVette; 02-24-2007 at 05:07 PM.. |

That wont work either, the ECU (DME in BMW language) is only one of the computers (control units) in the car. If the VIN #'s dont match your car wont start...

Guys & galls,
I have an update from Creative. The ECU with EVOtech program is on the way from Germany and I should get it by Wednesday (or Thursday). Now cross your fingers that this time it really happens... ! |

Thing is guys they had to work out all the Kinks as well to make sure that it doesn't cause any harm to the engine. The ECU was not in our possession this whole time, rather it was shipped out. Should be arriving shortly.
