I went and hit the BMW sos button and told them i need assistance asap and left it on and took off, 10 mins later the cops came, like 4 cars, and they made us all sit down and it took a few minutes of standard procedures before they knew we were all good sober kids that just screwed up, we had nothing in us or on us and we were all just so appologetic and confused and they knew it and they were like look guys i know you were speeding around that turn, i've even hit that curb, we're not going to file this in any way shape or form cuz theres no damage to anything but your car, thats going to save you from a reckless driving ticket and a host of other headaches and i appreciated that so much and they were like your dad needs to be here to explain the insurance situation not us...i was like yea well my dad died 14 years ago from cancer so its just been my mom providing for us since then and he was like ohh im sorry buddy well heres the deal....so they hung around and supported me for a while until they knew for sure that BMW assist was going to come pull me out and tow me out and they were like damn man you OC kids are nuts, this is the 3rd brand new bmw this week thats been recked by a young dude....

and they were like damn man its pretty damn nice too how long have you had it...i was like a month a half maybe...so they left and they took my friends home. So now i was alone in 42 degree weather alone with my car in a ditch with all those thoughts and disbelief going through me....so next came the desperate phone calls to the closests friends, first came my friend ashley, who was great help and actaully made me laugh for a second after telling me its ok and that she's hit 5 palm trees and swerved out once so its ok haha, and she talked me through alot of it and of course i was shaky as hell and yea i wont lie i wanted to kinda cry but didnt though you could tell i was on the verge by my voice, and fellas you know that a woman can soothe us at times like this and she did, next came my best buddy brad but his cell was on silent, and then suprisingly my ex g/f that i havent had any contact with for 8 months who i was on bad terms calls me saying she had a weird feeling and urge to call me out of the blue....

i told her whats up, we made up and appologized for everything and she was there for me too for a few hours. And props to my sister who came to pick me up at like 2 am. The tow guy took an hour and half to do the job becuase there was no fucking tool kit in my car! no towing hook so he had to use the axles and all this other shit
shitty bro, glad everything is comming together.

I just got done talking to my mom becuase she was like look your thinking about this too much and speding too much time on this. I was like yea but but how am i gonna do this or what about this and that and the wheels and i hear they're gonna give us hard time or might not cover everything. She was like HEY.....hey..listen, i've been doing business with Farmers insuarnce for 20 years now, everything from 3 homes, to all our dental offices to every single one of our cars from then until now and god knows how many hundreds of thousands they have gotten from us. I've had the same agent for 20 years and not once have i been hassled or even been allowed a hint of sas from them. She was like i pay 200 a month for your car alone and thats what full coverage is, she said they will not give me attitude for your wheels or prefered shops or anything, if they want the wheels declared then so be it, gather your wheels and tire's invoices and get the estimate from the dealer tomorrow and all thats left is to answer my agents question of how much Mrs.****. She was like thats all there is too it and there is no way that a company that we have been with for that long and that loyal to would or should hassle us nor have they ever, she said they dont even bother sending people out for us anymore they just take our word for it, like when someone hit my moms car, my agent specifically said its fine mrs.**** just send us the invoice and we will take care of it. And thats the least they can do after giving them our business with a hospital, 4 dental offices, 3 homes, and 12 cars from 20 years ago till now, they better treat us with no hassles.

I remember telling myself and the cop that........it sucks that something like this has to happen to people before they understand what needed to be prevented and how to prevent it and the value of what it is your preventing. He laughed and was like you hit it right on the head buddy....

Not to be an ass, but you need to work on your writing skills. What you wrote was hard to understand.

You must be living the life living in Laguna Beach with 3 homes and multiple dental offices for your parents.

I understand, man. You probably just got out of the conversation with your mom and wanted to keep everyone posted. But it was hard to follow what you were saying as everything was blobbed into one big paragraph.

GL with everything.

sorry to hear about your accident bro...I feel you...my car has been in the shop since 3/6...should be done by next week...I hope. Some guy hit my car...

The parts take a long time since this is car is so brand new the parts are not readily available.

Good luck...at least you got a nice car to drive around in the meantime.

sorry bout the accident man. i hit a pothole in nyc and it cost me 2.5 k and i was only goin 5 mph. u could prob get the rims fixed if they are not cracked by sending them to a rim bent specialist. i got more info on this if you wanna know. and dont listen to anyone about being young with a bmw and how you do not know how to drive. it happens unforunatetely. but i def recommend skip barber or something like that (its fun too while you learn, i went to the three day race school and two day advanced race school.) good luck with everything and just expect everything to run more than they tell you cauz it always does.

manufacturers dont recommend you taking multi-piece rims apart...it voids the warranty and im not sure if you can just purchase the lip/rim portion of it...might as well try to get the insurance to cover since your mom gave you the go-ahead

your paint job will be very well done from spectrum collision. i can vouch for them. they have paint approved from bmwna and collision repair techniques that are also taught from bmwna.

like someone said before, they are going to send you to a place to a get a preliminary estimate, to see what needs to be replaced and it will be MUCH lower of a estimate than Spectrum Collision. then you will probably send it back into Irvine bmw and from there spectrum will take care of things but since you cant even drive your car, im geussing you don't really have to do anyhting about it from here on. Just expect your car to be gone for at least 3 months.

lastly, your moms right man. you live and you learn. im a youngin like you, 18. i got my license when i just turned 16 and its been about 2 years and 7 months of driving. the e90 is my 4th car, not cause i crashed my others but because i was given many hand me downs and they were just at the point of sale. don't sweat it but however get some more experience under your belt. i drive a whole shitload, close to 65k to date and my e90 has 43k of it so far . i commute EVERYWHERE since work home and school are all far apart. just keep your head up man, everything will fall into place.

First, I feel sorry for the OP's ordeal.

Second, why can't people learn their lessons BEFORE doing something stupid? There's plenty of threads like this on the board, yet I bet we'll see more of them in the future. So at least now, people who like to push their cars, reading this thread, LEARN THE LESSON already! Don't wait until it happens to you too!

Finally, to those who say "live and learn", just remember that sometimes it's "die and goodbye".

When Mr.M was a teen

I was like "mom can you buy me a car that would take 14 years to pay off at my current salary?" My mom was like "no way dude you will pay for your own payments, your own gas and I will at least cover the insurance since you're only 17." I was like no way mom you're crazy" and she was all like "well if you want the privilege of driving when most people take mass transit (nyc) you have to be responsible for it."

Mr. M drove his hand me down Chevy Lumina until he finished high school.

Since then I've had a 91 Q45, a 00 AccordV6, a 98 Supra TT and a 02 TL-S. I've paid for my numerous speeding tickets, fines, and a DWI but I've never totaled a car and only one accident. Your first time around an unfamiliar curve should involve braking, not accelerating. If you don't know that, well say hello to the next ditch. Lesson learned.

Actually I wasn't implying that "kids were running the forum" Mr. Ses, I was merely stating that there seems to be many undeserving and over privileged children driving BMW's these days.

And I never said that I had been here for a long time, or even refered to being here for any period of time for that matter, you must have been confused.

However, now that you do mention it, I can see that I have been here since October 2005, while you have been here since sometime in 2006. But I guess reading, rather than running off at the mouth and posting a whole lot of garbage doesn't count for you. Maybe you should think more and post less NOOB.
