I datalogged the hell out of stage 2, gave rob my feedback and opinions but quite honestly there's not much to see. Each and every log looks pretty damn identical.

I'm not going to lie, I didn't go with RB turbos and then have no tune to back it up 100%, so stage 2 OTS won't cut it obviously...there's work to be done but so far I really can't complain about anything I've seen so far with the Cobb logs/approach...and this time around, I've got my external sensors ready and on standby for anything of the ordinary so I can spot it early (e.g. Cobb's top end boost datalog)...

time "spent"/"invested" to get something done right is not something I'll ever complain about...

Actually its very true. And Cobb has no problem admitting 17 PSI on stage 1 as they planned for that much boost. Again, that much boost is in the mid-range, and hardly a concern. If it were 17 PSI at 6800 RPM I would be more inclined to agree there was a problem.

Stage 2 currently can see 18 PSI in the mid-range which is hardly a problem as it tapers down to about 14 PSI by redline.

Some people dont understand their logs/engine theory/tuning/drivetrain as well as others so you need to learn when to weed out the ignorance of some people and to take information flaws and concerns with a grain of salt.

Do you read? It is a logging conversion from hpa to psi factor.

No idea, something about rewritting/scaling the tables and the conversion got lost in the process. Stage 2 obviously holds more boost up top.

I'll post a jb4 log of stg2+fmic while on map4 so you'll see everything stg2+ is running...jb4 gets its boost straight off the tmap, not canbus, so without throttle closures it'll be what the engine sees..

Since I tell it how it is? Lol always have always will, shady tactics anywhere better not come down my street! Lol

Can you send the csv of that map....I actually don't know what boost I am running after 5k lol.

Which sucks, cuz I have money burning a hole in my pocket. I had planned on ordering a tune today, but reading all the threads here has really got me confused. I'm not going to mod my car much, just tune and probably intake. But this car only has 25k miles on it, and I'd also like to keep it around for at least 7 years / over 100k miles. So I want to mod it, but I don't want my mods to greatly impact the long term reliability of the engine. All this talk of knocking and timing has me worried as to what I should actually buy.

One thing I do like about the piggy back is the ease of install/removal, as well as the ability to connect to a USB cable to do some logging.

the one thing you like about the piggy, cobb is 100 times better. You plug it in and hit a button, no screws, no taking parts off, no ecu box digging, no broken tabs/clips, no bullshit.

+1 also doubles as a great live data output. No boost gauge needed.

Since stage 2 is out of closed beta, sure I can post the logs when I get home. doesn't look all that different from Claps though. Virtually identical.

If you want power and don't want to compromise safety or reliability, the best thing you can do is go with a Procede/PWM meth combo. Run it at 14-15psi of boost and make 400whp regardless of conditions. Where things start to take a turn for the worse when you try to support high boost (16+psi) on pump gas.

1) Running PWM meth at 15psi (with DCI) and 2-3 deg of advance will get you ~400whp at sea level.

2) Running over 16psi in the midrange on pump gas without full bolt ons is a waste of boost, causing unnecessary heat/low timing.
