Ingobingo-Wow! Those wheels look incredible! The color combo looks really sharp! What interior trim did you get? Worth the wait?

Wonderful to see you finally take delivery. Awesome looking car which looks like it was well worth the long wait. Interested to see your trim and how it looks with the leather. Those wheels are incredible - they are huge!

Let us know your driving impressions.

HERR FSTIR, MWTPDE,
Thank you for the feedback, man the car is just beautiful. I remember you being exhausted after the delivery with all the excitement and information download – I can tell you my head was spinning. I left the dealership at 5.00 PM drove 9 miles home and that was it for yesterday. Nevertheless, the drive was unbelievable, the responsiveness of the engine is huge and the shifting (manual) is different (much softer) then in the 330 but I like it very much.
The features (electronics) are overwhelming and I will take sometime tomorrow to study everything. The BMW assist – how cool is that – you press the bottom and “Steve” calls into the car.
The wait was worth it – no doubt. The wheels are 19” and are pretty huge. The roads in Tucson are not the best all the time, so I have to be careful with the big bumps and wholes. The powder gray of the wheels does match greatly with the exterior space gray. I will take some more, better coordinated pictures tomorrow including the interior and the back + front. I was hesitant with the aero package – most posts on the forum regarding it are pretty negative. I have to say that I am very, very pleased with the look. I found the lines on the E93 a bit to conservative and especially the front and the rear bumper. The kit does the prefect job for me to make it look more sportive and with the wheels it came out 100% as I hoped it will. Only criticism on the aero package would be that the black grids are plastic and not carbon or metal – it would upgrade the look even more.
My interior trim is the dark burl. Same thing, I was a bit unsure, much saddle leather goes with aluminum or the light wood (forgot the name). Seeing it live, it does live up to my expectations and if I would order the car again, it would have the exact same specification from what I can tell so far. I did choose all options except the active steering and are impressed with the difference between the former model and this one. It’s basically a laptop in the dashboard and we all now that those are not free of issue but so far so good.
I will have a day off tomorrow and will let the baby out on the street to play. My first impression of the engine is breath taking. The torque from low RPM’s up is almost scary.
Bottom line – money well spend – Daddy will smile a lot – I will not reduce global warming (which does actually bother me a bit)
Thanks for all the support and curiosity – it made the wait much easier!
PS: As all the saddle owners do tell when posting pics, the leather does look a bit orange on all photos I have seen so far which is not the case in real live. I would say that photo #1 does come the closest to the real color.

I agree with your comment on the saddle color...in person it is more subdued and doesn't look as orange as it does in the pictures. I am really happy with the color (the two tone saddle/black looks great) and I have received a lot of compliments.

Definitely be careful with those wheels, they don't look like they have a lot of rubber between them and the road!

Enjoy your car!
