In the navigation sub forums, really good write up in one thread, 2021 maps are on a separate thread.
Here’s my current update

I just got home from dropping my car off for it's winter storage. Now I can start collecting parts instead of spending money on gas just having fun driving around all the time.

ECS vacuum hose relocation. FINALLY no more having to deal with or even look at that stupid hard plastic line running across the engine bay.

Replaced the only control arm bushing on each side of the E46's weird suspension system. The press has already paid for itself by now lol. Also somehow everyone manages to get these into the arm by hand, I had to use a spring compressor tool.

Added some temporary oil and coolant to the project to start it up. Gas too of course. It started up like nothing and damn does it sound good. I never realized I needed a PE till now. Also the OFHG is non existent as it was quite visibly seeping. Good thing it's already on its way here

Just got ISTA+ working. Needless to say the e46 isn't lacking in the fault code department. Though I think the e92 will outdo it lol

Dropped the front subframe with my motorsickle jack, started cleaning it up while it was still a bit light out. Water pump, thermostat, AC compressor, PS pump and oil pan gasket on deck.

Looks good man, I recently started playing with carbon fiber and skinning/etc. Don't know if it's the lighting, but looks like you might need to sand more and add some more layers of epoxy to smooth out the texture from the carbon cloth?

get the e91 from the 7 months summer storage.
- low air in tires - few codes from a disconnected battery (abs, 4x4, check engine) - rusty brakes. Run the car for few miles, all gone. Gotta love those ''auto fix cars'' But I have a LOT of smoke coming from the exhaust flange (cat/exhaust flange) Looks like its coming from under the pipe, like if oil leaked on the exhaust. Checked my drive way, no oil stain ! Im guessing the valve cover is dripping on the cats... |

5w40 oil + lucas oil stabilizer + re-tight over specs valve cover bolt ( like 1/8''-1/4'' of a turn, actually they were pretty easy to turn , asking myself if they not loosen with vibration) + cold weather I dont feel like to do the gasket right now, I did the ofhg and the valvetronic gasket, will see if oil was coming from there first. oh, I also put this : |
