Guys, remember that this worked for my car. Please dont flame me if you don't get the same result. I don't know if there is any diferance in Euro spec cars and NA spec cars..
I really wish u all the best. I still have a hard time believing I have no lag, but every time I test the car Im completely sold. It really pulls from just below 2000rpm and does'nt stop untill the last revs. Im just so scared to go to sleep now and wake up to find It all a dream! |

I know it was discussed before that there was no difference between 29.2 and 30.0.02 but just wanted to check if we have anybody on this thread who actually went from 29.2 to 30.0.2 and didn't see any difference at all.

Ugh I just spoke to my dealership and they said they have V31 in stock, but they said they can't give it to me unless there is something wrong with my car... I told them there is something wrong, I have LAG! She said BMW would not pay for it if there is nothing "wrong" and she talked to a technician and he ensured it had nothing to do with the engine, it was solely for the Navigation. I requested to talk to the Service Director, so I'm waiting on a call from him...
Maybe I should just complain of problems with the nav? I want to see how this new program with interact with the aftermarket tunes... <---- Irvine BMW |

now I don´t know what I´m going to do tomorrow, my dealer and friend has spoken with bmw and they don´t know nothing about this lag problem... He has already the v.31 but he wasn´s sure that this version fixed the lag. He wanted to program the old version with help of bmw iberica (Spain). Then you think that I must program with v.31? I think that the v.29.2 improves brakes and steering, although enworses the lag. I think that v.31 will mantain this improvements. Please advice me. |

This acutally happens to me and will be the excuse I use. It's really intermitant for me so I can't reproduce it to show it to them is the only thing I'm concerned about. |

Hmm we may have to formulate a pair of "issue statements" (i.e. excuses) to get v31 for those who are experiencing resistance from the stubborn dealerships ...One for those with iDrive and one without?

For those of you that are having a hard time tell them your BMWNA told you to schedule an appointment. If you did not bring your car in for service or contact BMWNA about the lag issue shame on you and you should have to wait.

I'm hoping I will get v.31, but I'm not holding my breath. Car is still in the shop - they found an error on the HPFP, SURPRISE!

I know we don't need yet another confirmation that 30.0.2 does not fix the turbo lag problem, but that's what my car was just upgraded to (off undoubtedly 29.2, but this I have no proof of). It didn't fix my other issue either.
However, I did get written proof that my car has turbo lag. Quote: "SHOP FOREMAN TEST DROVE CAR, FOUND CAR HAS NORMAL AMOUNT OF TURBO LAG" I must say, it's great to have *my* car back. A three year old base model 325i just does not hold a candle to the 335, even with lag.

Except .... according to BMWNA's website, the "normal" amount of turbo lag is NONE! see: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...3+feH/dAhfcw== clickable reduced-link: http://************/6loc69 3.0-liter, turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, 300 hp Generating 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque at 1400-1500 rpms, this advanced inline six is our first turbocharged engine offered in the U.S. in decades. And it"s the result of a simple idea - to use two small turbochargers instead of one large one. By combining twin turbochargers with BMW"s direct fuel injection system and advanced piezo injector technology, we achieved the benefits of turbocharging without the drawbacks, namely poor fuel efficiency and turbo lag. In fact, we eliminated turbo lag altogether. The engine"s innovative design includes an all-aluminum engine block with cast iron sleeves for durability, and a direct fuel injection system that also cools the engine. A cooler engine allows for a higher compression ratio (10.2:1 vs. 6:1 and 7:1 in other turbos), which translates into superior emission control, greater fuel efficiency and, most importantly, a thrilling performance.(my bolding) What month was yours built?
