I think you're right... There's no alpha to be had with a trophy, and in the case of women especially, it's a depreciating asset. I like the way you think, although it does sound a bit like receiving relationship advice from Carl Icahn.

Damn, gotta stick to providing for myself... Again! I do actually prefer that as I don't like to be reliant on anyone and don't want anyone to decide for me whether I am buying the Gallardo or R8. In fact, I'd buy an FF just to spite them.

Bit odd no one mentioned that what's most important is that as a couple, you're both on the same page. There is no "normal". For some it's daily, for some it's weekly and for some it's probably a few times a month. Whatever YOU and your partner are good with, then that's the right amount.

But we both get up by 5:30 at the latest, I do at least 9 hours regular days, she's working 10-12 mandatory OT, and we still have to tote our 15yo son around to his sports things. I got home after meetings and such around 9, was passed out in bed by 9:30.
