Hi Guys,

My first post
and first question

I have an 335d with upgrade Turbos, Wagner intercooler, modified exhaust, 2200bar Rail Sensor and Meth injektion.
At the moment, i run for ~470HP on the Crank.

In 2k19 i woul like to go for bigger Turbos but my Bosch R90 HD Pump is at 2000bar Rail at the end.

Is there any way to go for 2200bar + ?
Anywhere a bigger or modified R90 ?

What if you upgraded the low pressure fuel system? The diesel pickups here in America use systems like air dog or fass fuel systems to pressurize the hpfp, plus you get a better filter and water separation... that could help Or even better do twin r90 fuel pumps If the big diesels can do it I don't see why we couldn't do it!

Maybe someone more knowledgeable will speak up though lol

I test a big intank pump already.
It`s not possible to give more rail pressure.

Is there any reason you can't run twin r90 hpfps? I know the plumbing of it will be a challenge and I'm not sure if you can get a sensor to read the increased pressure

You can send your R90 to a fueling specialist and they should be able to upgrade it to something bigger. Been done before, but not a common thing to do.

Would you please recommend someone in South Florida/Miami area helping with cold air intake, EGR delete/block and reprogramming +flaps on 335d?
Few local so called "euro tuners" or "motorsports" I called said they cannot do it.

By any chance, would it be more logical to replace the intake manifold rather then spending hours cleaning it?

Also, a tuner can disable the EGR system and we don't technically have to run a race pipe? I did read up on the intake flap delete, but this also would have to be reprogrammed? I noticed this option on the Malone tuning website.

Egr can be codes off, or the pin trick. New intake manifolds are stupid expensive. And yes malone has just a delete software. Also tunemyeuro has an egr non race pipe delete.

Trying to decide which tuner to use, Rodriguez or BPC unless someone has better idea.
Torqu3, thanks for your post laying out so much info, I've had my 2011 since 2012 and after all the issues have decided to do a tune.
I'm not on Facebook so need to rely on here for info.

Not the answer you want I'm sure, but you can also make a fake facebook account strictly to use on the group. There is a lot that happens over there that will never appear on here.

Hi there!

I own a tuned 330d (intake flaps off). I rebuilt injectors and serviced the car but since I bought it, after hard driving when accelerating at very low Rpm and low throttle imput, I hear ticking noise very similar to what gas cars do when ignition is not correct. Did this ever happened to any of you?
No fault codes registered.

If this issue started after you "rebuilt" your injectors, I'd start there. Maybe send them out to get flow tested. Most users (State-side) don't mess with the injectors other than gently cleaning them up.

Post Check Engine Light After RaceChip Installation

Good evening,

I am reaching out to someone who understands this better than i do in order to help me with this very unfortunate situation.

I apologize in advance for the long read, i will try to explain what exactly has happened to my car. I ordered the RaceChip RS for the BMW 3 Series (E90) 335d 2009 and it imeddiatlely after installation damaged my vehicle... My car was running perfectly fine before the installation of the RaceChip RS. After the installation my car would not start. I spoke to the technical department at racechip several times and they are well aware of what has happened to my car. They told me to install the deactivation chip so that's what I did. At this point my car started but was running uneven on idle and the check engine light was turned on. A warning for increased emissions showed up on the infotainment system. So I contacted the technical support once again, they then told me to return my car to the stock tune and take it for a test drive. They said that doing this would make the fault codes disappear and my car would run normally again. I listened to the technician and restored the car to its stock state. However the problem persisted. The car was still running terribly uneven and the check engine light was turned on (this also resulted in a massive power reduction). Once again I contacted the technician at RaceChip, he then told me to go to my local car workshop and remove the fault codes on the ECU. I took my car to the workshop. The workshop printed the fault codes and removed them. The fault codes would not disappear and immediately lit up once again after the deletion. At this point the car is behaving the same way it was before the deletion of the fault codes. (uneven idle and check engine light illuminated). I contacted RaceChip for the 15th time. The employee on the phone said he cannot help me and that i have to send an email.

My current situation is as follows. I have a car that is not running properly due to the RaceChip RS. (that is not installed but only damaged my vehicle). I find RaceChip responsible for the damage caused to my vehicle.

I emailed RaceChip and got the following reply:

"RaceChip is an additional control unit which means that it can only move within the engine's and transmission's tolerances. The ECU, as well as any other control units of the vehicle, is permanently checking all its security system's values and monitors it's limits in order to prevent the engine from overload and damages.

The RaceChip is working with the characteristic curve of different sensors and does therefore not impact the security systems of the ECU at all.RaceChip is physically not able to cause such damage to the engine. Furthermore each sensor has a over voltage protection which means that if a value is too high for the sensor to be processed the sensor just switches itself off in order to prevent such a damage from even happening."

Can someone explain to me what couldve happened to my car and why its behaving this way.
It's currently in the workshop and they said it will cost about 1000 Euro to repair.

We need to know the codes you are getting and what exactly is the shop fixing? Are they replacing parts? Reprogramming something?

no, rod bearings are not a worry. Just make sure you can do all the deletes because they drastically improve long-term reliability, fuel mileage, and overall power.
