Did anyone notice that the E.D. discount is now much larger than before...
...by about $800 on the 335? That makes up for a pretty big part of the
overall increase.

That in itself is pretty amazing!

ace008, you got the deal man, but good luck getting reasonable airfare!

If you are willing to pay cash you'll probably pay more because they won't make any money off of the interest. My advice is to pay cash, but work the deal like your not and the surprise them at the last moment.

OK, my 3er cents for the record.

This is post is not a matter of who's right and who's wrong. It's just plain economics and math.

ED does not mean the price of the car will be less.
You still spend that amount and more to go and pick up your car. If this is your second trip, then double that.

Of course... unless you are one of the few that go over for one day and return the next.

You still have to buy the ticket. 1K

Next, after reading how people that bought their E90's without CA, ZSP, NAV etc. had huge regrets and posted it here.

It would be amazing to see individuals go without these options on their new 335 rides.

This car will be in the 50K and above range for sure.

I'll just get the basics model you say!!!

Can you say MOD's. I find it funny how so many 325ers on this sight have spent thousands on after thought mods, Zenons, wheels, shifters, upgrade to 162 wheels, intake systems you name it, etc.. Thousands...

But didn't want to just buy the more expensive model which had some of the mods to begin with just to save money.

I guess I'll have to wait and see...

Economics... Plane and simple.

^ no offense but that's you. I'm on the fence about Nav myself and I don't see too many posts about regretting not getting nav...particularly since BMW's nav is so mediocre.

ZSP I do see a lot of posts regretting not getting...but I don't see too many people saying they won't get the ZSP for the coupe.

"$50k and above range for sure"? Uh...no.

Well see.

I don't have NAV, wish I did... along with CA.

I still paid 44 and change for mine. That's for a car that started out at 36K.

If I had those options you can add another $2,600 which would bring my car to 46K and change.

The 335i starting at 40 and change. Add 10K plus for options, tax etc. and you have 50K plus.

We don't even have to pay tax in Oregon.

Will that be at the same time as the official announcement of the e90 328/335? Or will the official sedan changes be announced before new sedan prices?

I don't know but my guess would be it is going to happen at the same time since most of the pricing was hashed out with the coupe.

yes they dont make money off interest depending on how much you pay in cash... but won't they also value that they are getting PAID, not having to wait for your payments?

I was hoping the price will be less than $40k but I guess I was off. I think 3K over the previous model is stretching it and it will be interesting to see how it sells. I hope it sells.
Well, let us see how much of an increase the MY2007 E90 will go. I sincerely hope it will not attract a $3k increase over the MY2006 products.

It wont, the increases from the e90 330i to 335 is not nearly the increase of a E46 330ci to e92 335i. You have to compare apples to oranges.

p.s. my girlfriend hates this site too, she has to compete for attention. But to be honest, once my eyes are away from the screen, i think i am the one that is crazy for having ignored her!

If the product isn't moving, you can always back off the price, but rarely can you go up. I'm sure BMW did plenty of homework in determining what the market will bear.

I'm a bit confused. The ED Invoice price is $29,875 for the 328i Coupe, and the suggested retail price for ED is $32,830 for the same car. I assume we can deal between those prices for ED with our stateside dealer, or do we have to stick with suggested retail for ED. Thanks for your help.

Airfare isn't too bad, its around 800 per person (2 for 1 deal).

Dude, there is a $6k difference between MSRP and ED invoice. That's with no options. Option it up you get $7-8k difference. No one will get the car at ED invoice, no, but many will come within $1000. So are these people going to spend $5-7k on their trip? Maybe a few will. But most won't. I know I won't spend anywhere near that. Not half that, in fact.
