Shiv, are you saying that the In Dash will display how much torque your're using in real time? What about HP?

Ohh, ok. I thought that's what he meant because he said no need to go to dyno.
So this mean that will probably won't need laptop unless for map uploads.

Basically, what we've done is mapped out the DME's ignition advance table (rpm vs. load). And by comparing actual CAN DME ignition advance (from CANbus) to the value in this table, we know the amount of reactive knock retard. And a running average of this value taken during heavy load operation, tells us how aggressive the tune is for the given conditions (fuel quality, ambient tmep, FMIC performance, etc,). By reading this value, we can target a given "aggression" value by having the procede automatically adjust ignition correction. If we reach 0% ignition correction (by running race gas, for instance), the Procede can then start gradually raising boost (user torque) until the desired aggression level is reached. On the other hand, if ignition correction starts to creep upwards and reaches 100% (inadequate fuel/harsh conditions), the Procede will then start to reduce boost until it reaches its desired tune aggression. And these values can be displayed on the screen along with the max boost you want the procede to run during best case (cool conditions, race gas, etc.) scenario.
Basically, the idea is to eliminate the need to datalog and custom tune your Procede for max safe power. It will basically do what you do when you follow the custom tuning guide (looking for ignition advance drop-outs) under boost. Except it will do this 100% of the time and automaticaly adjust the tune accordingly as conditions change. And it will do this better than you ever could do yourself. And duiring all this time, the DME should never see conditions where it is routinely pulling back timing. Just as it should be and like it was when you were running the stock tune on premium fuel. As far as I know, this is the fist time that boost and ignition advance will be autotuned by any aftermarket tuning system. And it means that you can just plug in your tune and simply forget about it and ALWAYS make the maximum power that your mods/conditions will support if you so choose. It's a pretty big deal. Now this is impressive!!!
Not even on my wildest dreams I ever thought we could get this far! I am simply amazed with V4 capabilities... IMHO V4 is pulling hard from the competition by adding tremendous useful features day after day that simply make a huge difference by the end of the day. Congratulations!

It's similar to what goes on in the DME in that it applies long term timing trims. But dissimiliar in that it will also apply long-term boost trims when timing adjustment range is maxed out in either direction. Shiv |

Shiv so let me get this right.
With the addition of this feature coming to the PROcede, the Procede will basically tune each car automatically to its maximum power? Will this eliminate the upload of new maps in the future? Just maybe firmware update for new features? After the logic is applied, the car will auto-learn on how to adjust each setting automatically and run correctly & 100% maximum power at any given load and condition? Will this feature work exactly how BMW designed their DME to adapt to better fuel for better performance? Will the Procede make the car act & feel like is naturally making that amount of power from the n54? I know it feels that way now, but all this sounds like it was designed for commercial use straight out the factory.

Can other goals, say fuel economy, also be included in the algorithms? This would be especially useful for situations such as cruise control set.
On a different topic, can boost be displayed in the lower/larger display window? Where the average MPH is displayed in the video? I have the active mpg displayed there. That would be easier to see while driving.
