You do realize that new s/w updates for the PROcede can be downloaded to your laptop computer and then downloaded into the PROcede, right? This means that Shiv can continually revise and update the PROcede s/w (probably up to a certain point of course) to make more power, which can then be downloaded and installed by current PROcede customers (for free as Shiv has said many times).

Sorry, my sarcasm must have been too subtle. Shiv was the one that originally pointed out that the PROcede was obviously better because it had more I/O. I on the other hand don't see how more I/O automatically makes it better, particularly since none of this extra I/O is even being utilized.

If I have an installed controller that is doing the job that I need, replacing it with a different controller that has more I/O does not make the new controller better.

Wow, this is so deja vu from the time my brother had the first production line2000 S4. Everyone was bashing each other...MTM this, APR that, GIAC ftw, etc..etc.

I love a little battle...competition breeds excellence. I can either go with Shiv and support my Indian bro, take a nice vacation down to Miami/South Beach and go with AA, or stay close to home and visit my good ol' neighbors, Turner!

I love my life...decisions decisions!

I would think it's the same as motherboards. More I/O's, more ability to upgrade when the time comes?

Hmm, we were going to make one of those with the 1000 I/O's and call it the PRO-XUBERANCE but at $49,995, we couldn't see many potential customers for it.

Nice call, maybe we forgot this post was about AA bringing quality products to the 335 community!

+1. We are testing a feature that takes advantage of another digital input/output right now Will be simple software update for all current PROcede users.

I think AA should be paying Shiv (lots of) royalties for all the work he put into developing the xede (for them).

I payed $43000 for my car and I'll be damned if I'm going to go cheap and get a product discarded by someone like Vishnu who has a proven track record with FI ENGINES. Doesn't matter if its a EVO, WRX STI, or a 335. The basic principle is still the same.

If AA was really that bad ass then they coulda come up with something to surpass the PROCEDE, not a product thats in a class below it.

Honestly, I dont know if Vishnu has any grounds to take legal action, but if they do then I would.

That's my car...

Seriously, can't wait to get an intake for this car..i dont care if the gain is 0 to minimal...removing the airbox you got a TON of room to work with...to check for boost leak and such...

And yeah, the intake manifold cover is plastic, probably to keep from burning your hands or something...

Any hints as to effect? VANOS contol, and if so what type of power/refinement should we expect in vague R&D terms?

The Xede can be updated as well, so I would expect to see an update from AA in the future. Shiv never mentioned who is producing the Proceed for him, but most of the updates are probably developed directly with the manafacturer unless if Shiv got his hands on the firmware source code.

The one thing that would turn me away from the Xede right now is that the manufacturer is making an updated version of the Xede with more I/O and USB support. Both products are good, but I wouldn't want to get something that may be changing by years end. The biggest weakness in the 335 is still the rear diff, so until that is changed it will still have problems putting the power down making the difference in HP and Torque almost insignificant in the lower gears.
