- brakes very good, but something scraping in the rear, making it wiggly at times when braking (will need to have a check, maybe 1 caliper braking more than the other?)

He helped me shave some time here and there, the big wall seems to still be corner 10. But progress was made.

Fantastic day!!!
Congrats on the new gains. Your running an adjustable set of AST 4x00, right? You can stiffen up the compression on these, right? What is wiggling under braking, front or rear? Same pad material front and rear, or running mixed brake compound front/rear?

Wiggling when braking is the rear in particular when hard braking, rolling is mostly the whole rear end, and to a lesser extent the fronts.

Corner 10 close to the rumblers/apex, the unevenness makes rear go up and down (big roll) to the point it bottoms out when I go faster (tires rubbing the inside mud guards). Setting currently at 7 out of 10. I guess I could put it at 10 next time there.

PFC 08 both rears and fronts. However the rears have no metal clips and sometimes when I back-up in reverse, I could feel the brake pad "catch" hard then let go as I continue, going forward it squeaks "choink, choink" going slow, but as speed is picked up I no longer hear that noise.

Are the AST 4X00 compression adjustable, or fixed? Did they come with a set of match springs? There is a lot of mush in the E90 suspension, but perhaps with a few clicks front and back on the ASTs and you may be able to add a little stiffness.

4100 are single adjustable, if it does this at 7/10 setting, i am not holding much hope for 10/10 to fix things....

Corner 6 made my instructor a little uncomfortable with the big roll (in my car) at 3/4 track out But there I am used to it, he he, it's not a 90 degree off camber turn like 10

We are SOLD OUT, but....Trillium Sept CTMP Grand Prix track event is now sold out for all groups, BUT some Solo level spots are still available - get them before they are gone

Also, believe it or not, Oct 3-5 event is "just around the corner" and you can still get super early bird pricing for it, but don't wait too long, as the price is going up 6 wks prior to the date (and then again 3 wks prior) and the event is filling up fast already.

Yep, we run HIGH QUALITY, TOP VALUE, SERIOUS FUN events and we do SELL THEM OUT

Wanna see how we compare value wise?
Go to www.torontotrackdays.com and see for yourself...

Visit www.soBMW.ca then "schools" tab for all the details on dates, pricing specials, event description, tips on how to prepare, ‎important prerequisites, etc. Any questions after you've read the above? Post them here and I will be happy to assist!

‎Happy motoring!
LD OUT, but...

Just got an Amex Platinum invite for the Porsche event at Mecaglisse. Looks kind of fun, they apparently let you drive some Porsches around the ice track.

I feel like the $5,400 can go elsewhere, though...

Trillium Club 2015 track events and Xmas Specials are here!

Trillium Club 2015 track events and CHRISTMAS SPECIALS are here!!!
************************************************** **************************************

We are pleased to offer another season of track events at CTMP Grand Prix track for 2015: 4 weekends and 4 Fridays!
Moreover, we have managed to hold 2014 WEEKEND prices, but had to add HST as an extra price component. ‎As we need to pay that back to Ottawa, our margins are simply too skinny and that places our club's viability at too high a risk.
As to FRIDAY events (reserved for pre-approved Solo drivers only), the prices needed to be adjusted up 10% and an HST treatment added in. Chock it up to rising track rental and other associated costs.‎ Still, our pricing is still simply second to none for open Marque events - so join us!

2015 TRILLIUM ADVANCED DRIVING SCHOOL DETAILS:

Please go to www.soBMW.ca and then "schools" tab for all the details on dates and prices, important pre-requisites and conditions, event formats, preparation tips, etc. Yes: the popular "Bulk Buys" are back for pre-purchasing 2,3 or 4 events for best discounts and our "Super" and "Early Bird" deals are back for extra savings on single events, when purchased 6 or 3 weeks prior. NOTE: event registration links are all there on the right hand side of our home page.

NOW READ THIS!!!

As our thank you for sold out 2014 season, we are offering a CHRISTMAS SPECIAL - valid until Dec 31st - as follows:
First time Novice students can purchase one weekend Advanced Driving School (ADS) event for ONLY $400 plus HST!
All other students are offered one weekend ADS event for $449 plus HST!
Go to www.soBMW.ca and look for a Christmas Special registration link on the right hand side of the home page.

We are a club, we are not for profit and we offer HIGH QUALITY, TOP VALUE, SERIOUS FUN events – so join us!

Happy motoring and all the best of the Season to you and yours!

PS Any questions please leave a reply in this thread (do NOT PM me please).

Trillium Club RACE SCHOOL is here!!!

Trillium is pleased to announce 2015 details of our superbly popular Race School!

Place: CTMP Grand Prix track
Dates: April 25 and 26 (2 day program) NOTE: as usual - the Race School will take place at the same time as our regular Advanced Driving School - but as a separate event.

See below for all other details – thank you!

If you're considering advancing to the ranks of BMW Club Racing or CASC Racing or want to be exposed to new concepts and on-track experiences, then this event is for you. This school is open to all drivers experienced with high performance driving on the track.

What Will I Learn?

The weekend consists of an intensive program of in-class sessions and on-track exercises. The classes cover such topics as the rules, race craft, mental preparation, practice and qualifying techniques, surviving the start, etc. On-track sessions consist of a variety of exercises, including two or three-abreast driving, leap-frog passing, practice starts, and simulated qualifying, culminating in a mock race in the last session on Sunday (optional).

What Should I Bring?

Any car suitable for use in a BMW Club driving school may be used, all the way up to fully prepared race cars. Participants will have to complete technical inspections and personal waivers to access the CTMP grounds and must wear minimum Snell 2005 helmets to access the track (same requirements as for a BMW Club driving school).

What Will It Cost?

The cost to students attending the two day school is $649 (+ HST). Both students and instructors are also invited to participate in an optional practice day on Friday April 24. To register for this Friday please log on to our website,www.soBMW.ca and choose the April Friday link on the right-hand side of the homepage. Prices are listed and increase the closer it gets to the date.

More Information / How Do I Register?

• You will need to be a member of a chapter of Trillium BMW Club or any BMW Club in Canada or BMWCCA to participate.

•
For more information, answers to questions, to apply and/or register please contact the Race School Registrar Allan Lewis at: allan-lewis@rogers.com
• For general information about BMWCCA Club Racing or Club Racing schools please go towww.bmwccaclubracing.com
.

Please Note:

Experienced racers from BMW Club Racing and other sanctioned race series are invited to help instruct. We need racers to participate in discussions regarding a variety of topics, take part in on-track exercises, and observe and comment on the actions of the students. When on track, you will be using your own car and not be in the student's car. You will also be able to make use of available instructor sessions to get additional time on the track.

There is no charge to instructors for Saturday or Sunday.
