damn now that you mentioned the guibo I found the RE article about it...I heard a clicking like they describe once but to me it sounded like it came from the engine compartment...I figured it was because Perillo did inspection I and therefore I can almost guarantee they didn't look at the valvetrain. Now I gotta try to replicate and maybe inspect the guibo, if that's fine then I know it's inspection I

Well, if you hear clicking with the clutch in, its not the guibo, also, DIY inspection I FTW

you mean pedal in/clutch disengaged? Or pedal out/clutch engaged. Pretty sure I heard it with the clutch engaged since I always decelerate in gear...again not glaring or crazy loud just one of those things where you think "I don't remember hearing that before"

clutch in, not that I do that, I rev match and decelerate in gear. Did you check your motor mount bolts? It wouldnt be the guibo itself, but rather the center support bearing, and it would be progressively worse, not just random and intermittent.

What are you thinkin of having them do? I haven't used them personally but I'd say they are legit. They were big on the chicagoz forum when I had a z, never heard a bad word about them. Owner has some ridiculous cars.

Call me a car snob, but i wasnt overly impressed with the F10, lackluster seating (non sport), mediocre steering feel (tires probably), intrusive stability control, inability to use speed control with dsc off, and lack of a non-open rear differential... sure is puuuuurty though

No I completely understand. My old E61 535 wagon had better driving feel than this. The multicontour seats on the wagon were fantastic, and I'm sure they're great on the F10, but these standard seats are too soft and unsupportive. BMW made the whole car too mushy, and when Inside Line tested the F10 550i with the summer tires, the car held its own on the skidpad until a less than extraordinary .89G, where the E61 was able to hold until .91G.

I'm sure with the optional rear wheel steering, the car does better.

Good thing it's only a loaner.
