Standard = 2.02 map alternates would be v1 and v2
Few hundred miles was a suggestion, run it for 20 miles then switch, it's up to the end user and how they feel the car responds to the tune and what they feel is enough. Thanks, Jorge |

I've read v1 is for auto & v2 for M6 on here, but Cobb's site says both work for either trans. Clarification?

They'll all work, it just depends on the feel/response you're going for. V1 was intended for the AT guys, V2 was intended for the MT folks. The throttle response is the only difference.

Honestly, I have a 6MT and I race on track (just did auto-x this past weekend) but I feel like even with 2.02 STD it is a bit "slow" to respond. I preferrred 2.01. 2.02 is manageable though... I just want Stage 2!

Click on the link from post #1552 on page 71 of this thread and you'll be able to find IJEOS. I have no idea why it's not on the regular site. I have the IJEOS too.

just the pedal position. The standard map gives you 100% of the power over the first 50% of the pedal and you build boost quickly. The other versions require you to get further into the pedal to get power and build boost.

Bought Cobb AP from Top gear solutions thanks jeff for the good price, then found that ROM was not supported. 4hrs after emailing Cobb they emailed my solution back and installed in my car. Very impressed with vender, support and easy install (as I am an idiot with this stuff).
Thanks to all on this forum for making my choice easy for picking the tune for me. |

Installed COBB today. Took it for a cruise around the block. Pretty impressive so far. I ran 2.01 93 octane, then 2.02 93 octane. I like 2.02 better. I will drive for a few days before trying v1 & v2.

I tried the v2 maps and boy, the car felt like an old dog... Not sure why anyone would want such slow throttle response. Back on standard maps.

anyone notice that the version 2 91 oct map allows you to get like 27mpg highway where as the version 2 93 oct map you can only get 22-23mpg highway?

I was reading on Cobbs website and saw ACN91 fuel in Arizona, Nevada, and California and when using the tuner to use that specific calibration. My question is whats with this type of fuel.
Also the highest octane the majority of fuel stations sell here in Nevada is 91 however I can get 100 octane at select Rebel stations. I assume that the use of 100 octane can be substituted for the 93 octane tune on the Cobb unit. Correct? |

My 335i is my toy car and I dont put many miles on it anymore so the price of fuel isnt of much concern for my toy. I wonder how much more gain would be possible running 100 octane on the 93 map as apposed to just 93 octane on its map?
We have shell V power but its only 91 octane. |

You would need a custom tune to increase ignition and boost to reap all the benefits of race gas. |
