Worked out there over the summer a few times. Buddies brother lives in the building right across the street. Place was full of chicks. Especially up top by the pool. It was nice!

Not if you didn't have RWD and the kind of power our cars put down. Most cars do fine with A/S though if they don't have 300hp.
Hell my 328xi made it through a winter on stock OEM RFT A/S up in Madison. |

No but I would advise. My bro had a 08 e92 xi on ps2 year round and made it through 2 winters downtown without getting stuck. He said stopping was his only problem. But I guess if u go slow enough thatll take care of that.

I am more refering to how shitty the roads get and putting A/Ss on a good set and driving it in the Winter. I have my breytons for winter, but was going to get a new set and go A/Ss and sell my oem and breytons and only run the new set. But I am wondering if it would be better to abuse my breytons on the winter roads instead of putting a new set through it.

How much more performance (acceleration, cornering, and breakying) and less life do I get from going Summers instead of A/S?

Id just keep the breytons. They'll take the abuse and be dedicated for winter traction. Second your summer performance is going to suffer if u push it. Not sure how you drive but a/s will get the job done just puttin' around but I likes to puuuuush it. U could just drive your winters in the summer and it'll give u a general idea.

I'm not a fan of all seasons. I'd rather just have a winter set and a summer set instead of a year-round compromise set.

wll actually james, A/S usually wear longer than summers so in that respect they'll probably last you longer but you will most likely lose some performance characteristics on dry roads.

![]() It's probably a good idea, especially with the horrible, rough roads and dangerous, legally ambiguous potholes. If you have a winter set, especially one you care about less or spent less on, you can feel okay letting those get trashed on the potholes and bumps. Then, when the snow has finally bid us all a fond farewell (for a good 7 month stint), you can put those summer tires and wheels back on, knowing that with the added agility you'll enjoy driving more and you'll be able to maneuver around the potholes even better. I would say get all-seasons, but then you may as well keep your BMW rims on, in which case you'd be risking damaging wheels that are $950 a piece as opposed to $125 from, for example, Tire Rack. |
