Nah I used my car to try wrapping for the first time, it's just a glue line in the vinyl due to my lack of skill.

There are only couple spots on the bottom where the film separated. Obviously be careful due to the heating elements. I didn’t know is two layers. I need to remove the deck anyhow because the rear power shade is acting up so I will pull those off then. Is 99% so won’t bother me. Some glue that was left Honza removed it with wd40 and microfiber cloth.
Thx, I'm worried about it separating and ending up with a bigger mess than it is now. I'm thinking this might be worth finding a Honza and paying him to be my friend.

Finally washed and waxed my E90.

And then I went to avoid a car the suddenly went into reverse. The idiot was looking down, probably at his cell phone. I cut the wheel to sharp to avoid him, and hit a curb with my side skirt. I cracked the side skirt, and a square piece, looked like a filter fell out. Not sure what it is. I’m going tomorrow to the body shop. What’s amazing is, the skirt has no scratches, just cracked. And some liner also came off. I hope this isn’t going to be expensive.

Ugh that sucks. I had a guy in a van back into my accord the other day at a light, said he couldn't see out of his back window. So you just put it in reverse and hope? D'oh!
The square piece is likely your jack point pad, they pop right out.

The square piece is a hard plastic, and looks like a filter. I’m just hoping this repair won’t be expensive. The skirt literally has no scratches. It’s like someone took scissors to it. It’s a clean line. Now, the small square piece, and I think a liner needs to be replaced.

I can’t believe how people just don’t pay attention when driving. It literally would’ve taken 5 seconds for me to make a proper turn. Instead, I had to quickly cut the wheel, and bang, went over a curb.

I’m sorry for your damage. Was it bad?

I'm considering myself lucky twice in that he just caught my licence plate and it looks like it's just the bracket and frame got crushed. I almost took the bimmer, if that got crunched IDK if I would have cried or done a homicide. I hope yours checks out OK with minimal damage as well.

Man, that sucks. I'm sorry to see this.

I was turning left the other day on an arrow, and suddenly someone from the straight traffic lane bolts left, forcing me over. I hit the curb only with my driver rear wheel, but it definitely left some curb rash. People suck.

That should be a easy fix. Went today for several estimates on my side skirt. Decided to go with Wide World Of Cars in a Spring Valley NY. That’s where I bought my E90 from. Jake is the body shop manager, that’s been there for 23 years. He’s very personable and friendly gentleman. They also work on Ferrari’s, which is next door to BMW. Total is $600. The parts are not expensive, it’s the 2 1/2 hour of labor. I also needed a new liner, and several other pieces. Best thing is, once parts come in, they will paint the side skirt. All I have to do is go, and it will take about a hour to install. My E90 should be back to new by the end of the week.

I think it will screw on with no issues amen. Glad yours isn't too bad and won't take long. It's usually the labor that's the heftier side of the bill. I try to DIY all my mechanical stuff but just took mine to the body shop for an estimate on a windshield and paint the hood roof and front bumper clip so it doesn't end up looking like it was fingerpainted by a preschool child, gotta know your limitations lol.

We often curse BMWs and think it must be easier on Toyotas and the like, it's not. Trying to replace a slipping power steering belt on my Mk.1 RAV4. Access to the bolts is terrible and and they're rusted solid, utter night mare. Every car has some jobs you don't want to tackle. RAV4 timing belt even worse.

Yes, labor is what gets you. All three shops in my area were charging the same hourly rate, as the dealer. So, it was a no brainer to go with the dealer.

They do all the body work for Ferrari’s and Maserati. They have a dealership next to BMW. I used them before for some minor scuffs on my bumper. They didn’t even charge me.

Cleaned up the Style 161s, they're cleaner then they were but no less curb rash. Took them to the tire place to get dismounted while I think on what to do with em. Out of 4 tires I had not one that was spec for the car, and one 8" and one 8.5" wheel on the front and ditto the back. Shame cause 3 of them are almost new, just not the right ones and on the wrong wheels.
