Had those in high school. Huge typewriter-like terminals in our school connected to the mainframe in the town's other high school. You'd drag the tape through the reader and pray that it didn't rip.

Not long after I turned 18, NY changed legal age to 21, but they grandfathered in anyone who was already 18.
