Hey I know that there was some talk about tuning for the GM 6L45 auto transmission. I thought someone said that they needed a transmission to test or the TCU out of a trans.
I just happened to look on ebay and these transmissions are quite cheep. Here is one= https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-OEM-BM...FZutR2&vxp=mtr If there is an interest in working on tuning this TCU, I can contribute. Let me know. Last edited by CobraMarty; 01-13-2018 at 07:54 PM.. |

We looked at it ages ago. Tune is basically the same. I speculate there must be differences in the exhaust - and anyway theres nothing there you couldn't do better with a tune.

The "stock" 330i tune is available for most N52 powered models on Bimmerlabs. I haven't built a 328xi tune yet, but I will be doing so soon.

I thought you were going to offer an enhanced version without the soft rev limiter and a small bump in power. That's what I recall from reading this entire thread 6 months ago.

Sorry, you must have misread. I never offered anything for sale in this thread - this was started for my own personal tuning efforts, not intended to sell tunes. Right now what I have immediately available are baseline 'factory' tunes for those who have done 3-stage swaps (files available free).
I can of course tune with increased power and no soft limiter - but not for free. You're welcome to inquire further if you have more questions. Last edited by hassmaschine; 02-25-2018 at 11:04 PM.. |

My apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but does anyone know how they squeeze out an extra 5-10 kW on these models?
195 kW Applications: 2005-2008 E85/E86 Z4 3.0si 2006-2009 E87 130i 200 kW Applications: 2006-2010 E83 X3 3.0si 2006-2010 E70 X5 3.0si, xDrive30i 2007-2010 E63/E64 630i https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_N52#N52B30 I'm assuming the BimmerLabs 330i file is 190 kW (255 hp)? |

they basically have more ignition timing out of the box, there are other differences but those are the most obvious changes.
yes the bimmerlabs tunes are the 255hp version. Actually the 130i is the 265hp version, but that's because there's no 255hp version of that car. |

A few other members have mentioned a flash for the GA6L-45R transmission; is this something I can also flash myself? I don't see any transmission flashes as available downloads for my E90 (serial E127137). Thanks for your time and help! |

Would like to compare n53 and n54 bootloader. Shouldn't it also be possible to flash this n54 Software, change powerclass and then go back to n53? If it has the same address in eeprom, this should also work? |

Which N53 are you wanting to modify the power class on? do you have a ZB#?
I'm pretty sure the N53 runs on the same code as the N54 (at least, specific versions of it do). If so, the same N54 0pa would work on the N53, assuming we had a matching N53 0da that has the calibration you want. |

right, do you have a ZB# for the file you want to flash? I presume you have an N53B30, but with a single stage?
This should technically be a simple file to create. |

Yes, its a N53B30, currently with single stage. But manifold of 330i will be used later.
New ZB# of the 325i would be 8619314 (8619315.0da and 7612455.0pa). I THINK ZB# of 330i should be 8619316 (8619317.0da and also 7612455.0pa). But this is only what I found online somewhere, not sure if this is correct...I could just try to flash and see what happens. EDIT: Corrected zb#. Its correct now.
