You mean the nut facing up that connects the bracket to the mount?
If so, you may wish to blow off some of the sand that accumulates there.
Mine was easy. I had used a few long socket extensions to bring my wrench above the engine.

Four torx bolts in total. One is in the hole. The bracket is curved back, so your bolts are more forward towards the front of the car compared to the bracket. Two up, two down.

Sorry, I have no USB cable at work, but this is from my camera screen. You can see where the socket extension is. And another is holding the DPF.

Anybody know where to source a good kit with both male and female torx bits that I will need?

I was in Harbor Freight the other day and they had a kit with 1/4 and 3/8 drive male torx bits, but no female bits.

I have some Wiha T-handle torx drivers that I really like, but t27 is the biggest I have and I figure they won't fit where I need them to anyway. I got them for working on my chainsaws.

Titan makes good torx bits. After going through a couple sets of cheap torx, a nicer set of torx is well worth it. Amazon always has a good tool selection

highrollin ??
335psi done, running fine

Sorry. Been busy with another crazy project. Still waiting on meth install. Mechanic is a little weary as he has never done a diesel before and I have a Snow Performance TDI kit. He is not sure where to put the EGT sensor thing. Anyway, I still have SES light because I haven't had time to take the engine cover off to look and see if one of the top sensors is loose. I did see and improvement in gas mileage over the last tank by 4.1mpg combined. Not too shabby. The car feels like it responds better to the gas pedal for sure. Still waiting to see if the urea light will come back on. JR is contacting Ecotune about it to make sure it will be fine. I did hear something making noise from that area one day when I came home. Not a big fan of that. Haha.

Your snow TDI kit came with the EGT sensor?

Sorry. Let me correct my statement. He can't figure out where the EGT "probe" from the controller connects to.

The controller uses Exhaust Gas Temperature to control the water/methanol injection?

I believe you do need those items plugged in and the maps are just set to not use them.

It's unused. You can optionally fit a K type thermocouple into the exhaust stream and it will read/display the data. The snow controller only factors EGT in "Tow" mode which isn't relevant for our cars. We [and the TDI] only run MPG mode.

I ran that wire to just outside the DDE box and capped both ends. If I go the DPF delete route then I will probably tap+install a probe just to see.

I would use it now, "tow" for them means "race" for us
It would just inject more based on higher exhaust temps under extreme load, using it would be bennificial even before dpf delete

Hmm.. Wouldn't using it during a regen basically prolong/interrupt the cycle?

Yes, one would need to monitor this. It's easy to do with bmwhat, or torque app's
