I hope they have some idea how the show is going to end. If they haven't thought about that aspect of the show, I think things may really go downhill.

I had the same feeling as some of you about the show just dragging things out with Sci Fi's Battlestar Galactica. I stopped watching until I heard the series was going to end. I watched the episodes leading up to the finale and I have to say the writers really did the show justice and didn't leave me pissed off about how the show finished.

Don't get me wrong. I think there is genuine camaraderie and love on the show. I also think there is genuine passion for what they are doing. And they are wildly successful. So I guess they do deserve it.

I just think they are on the edge of being a bit too smug. They are on the brink man!

I was going to say that as well, but then again, watching it either online or recorded, you skip commercials, making it non-stop-wtf-I-wanna-cringe brutality. If I watched it live, I'd have all of those commercial breaks (and they pack them in with that show) to cool me off.

There appears to be an "alternate season openor" that has been leaked now that the season opener has come and gone! And guess who 1 of the victims is/was??? OMG!

A leaked alternate version of the Season 7 “Walking Dead” premiere shows an even MORE tragic death

Spoilers ahead for the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. If you’ve watched it already (and if you haven’t, stop reading and go watch it right now…or keep reading, because you do you) you know that Negan claims not one, but two victims. Both Abraham and Glenn fall victim to Lucille, and that sound you hear is our hearts breaking into a thousand tiny little pieces.

The lead up to this big reveal was pretty intense, and for the last few months The Walking Dead has been trying to keep it a complete secret. They even went so far as to film a few different alternate death scenes, to completely throw us off Negan’s trail (even though Michael Cudlitz admitted that was a lie, and The Walking Dead has literally been messing with us for a year).

Knowing that, hold onto your hearts because it appears as if one of those alternate death scenes has leaked out, and we are not ready for it. Honestly, we’ll probably never be ready for it. In this alternate scene, Negan’s first victim is Maggie.
Warning: this video is super graphic, but you know that because you watched the season premiere of The Walking Dead.

So might this have actually been a true alternate version of The Walking Dead premiere? The rest of Negan’s dialogue remains the same, and it sure feels like in another twisted Walking Dead timeline, it’s Maggie and Glenn who are both killed. AND THAT IS TOO MUCH FOR US TO HANDLE, OKAY?

Since this video is a ~leak~ there’s no way for us to truly confirm if this is really from the episode or not. But it looks legit, and our hearts still hurt a whole lot right now.

If that's true (and I called it also), the extent to which they went in order to cover up how the opener was going to play out was crazy!

I dunno. I thought the most recent season of FTWD was respectable and definitely its best season yet. Probably on par with an average TWD season. Maybe the bar was set so low during the first couple of seasons?

Watching season two on DVD right now. That may be the best TV show ever!
But it does have a few episodes that drag a little bit.

I watched my recording Monday night. It was kinda tough seeing Glenn's eye pop like that, but then I had to go in the bathroom and dig that ingrown hair out of my arm. Talk about some gross shite!!!!

I had read this thread before watching, and STILL at the end I found my heart rate (and probably blood pressure) up. It's really not about zombies any more, they are just background noise. It's about seeing what happens to people without the rule of law, how quickly we become feral again, and just what lies in human hearts and minds.

Having taken a few ax swings at turkey heads, then to think about whether I could TRY to chop my son's arm off to save a bunch of family, or just say fuq it all let's go to our death with at least a sliver of humanity? I'd always be a doer, not a leader in any situation like this.
