Well man I'm going to have to stand corrected. Had the biggest a-hole screwing with me today in his truck. I stopped the car, threw it in gear, and started to get out...luckily my wife was there and made me stand down. Still exchanged some nice words before she made me leave. She couldn't believe the nerve of the guy either. 1st issue I've ever had in the bimmer. Guessed you jinxed me.

I was rear ended in my daily and she's certainly totaled. Thinking about a ~2008-2010 Wrangler 4 door as a replacement.

What was your old daily, and why a Wrangler?

A 2000 Accord coupe, 4cyl VTEC + 5 speed. She treated me very well, had her for almost a decade and she probably had another 100k miles left in her.

As for the Wrangler, I've always wanted a 4 door one since they were released and the prices are finally coming down on them. Plus what better vehicle is there for hitting the slopes in the winter and the beach in the summer, and comes in manual?

It is woefully underpowered but a lot of fun to drive if you are a Jeep person. No normal human being can possibly enjoy the Wrangler. I love it.

Really not much out there that interest me enough to plunk down serious money for. Realistically? BMW M2C?

I'm kind of going through a phase where I'm just burned out with fun cars. It takes so much time, money and effort (first world problems, and self inflicted, I know).

I bought a 2016 Tundra used last summer and have absolutely loved it to death. It's comfy, practical and I know it's dead reliable. It's a great feeling, which is why all my M's just sit these days. I've actually considered going from 4 cars down to 2. A Tundra and maybe 997 Turbo? But I know I'll regret losing the E92 M3, and having a decent car payment.

In other words, I have no idea. But I do believe my favorite era of cars was back around 2010, and certainly not now.

I’m considering the r1t more and more. 400 mile range, pure electric, with the capability to tow/haul.

Aside from the first year or two of production, I believe all of the V8 model F-Types have AWD. So, slap on some winter tires and you should be good unless you need to go through deep snow.

Not worried about AWD. I daily the Hellcat on snows. I'm more concerned with ground clearance, ride quality, etc

I will never understand the AWD on a sportscar thing. Snows make a MONUMENTAL difference vs 2WD and 4WD. The amount of 911's that are AWD is flat out ridiculous, i mean really.

Well, if you like traction from a dig, AWD it is. My Hellcat on anything less than a DR vs AWD from a dig = I'm toast

Bye bye warranty then. Also, they do not lease well. Even if I could afford it, I'm not paying $1k a month for a FCA vehicle

Have actually been giving this some thought lately while I wait to see what the settlement outcome is on the N20 timing chain lawsuit.

If I were to do this today, I think I would really be leaning towards the "slow car fast" route and get a BRZ/86.

As a daily driver that can be tracked, it just seems to be a fantastic option. The Miata is tempting, but being able to easily carry track tires and everything else needed for a track day in the car makes the Toyobaru much more appealing.

On the other end of the spectrum, the other major contender would be used M240.
