Judging by the price of the 328i coupe, it's fairly obvious that the price difference between the sedan and coupe models will be larger than it ever has...I'd guess at least $2000. This became apparent when we started finding out about coupe specific trims, colors, etc - BMW wants to further differentiate the coupe from the sedan. I really wouldn't expect an MSRP of any more than $33,000 for the base sedan (in this case the 328i - unless we're going to see a 323i after all?). Figure ~33k for the 328 sedan and ~38k for the 335. In any case, it's pretty obvious that the 335 sedan will be under 40k regardless of BMW's strategy at this point.

Ha, ha... very funny. You know what I mean by we don't pay taxes on our purchases. No sales tax! If someone got lucky enought to purchase a 330i at invoice. I'd be surprised if they didn't do any mods. But then again, maybe there is... ![]()

![]() Wouldn't a base model and taxes alone make the car about 42 to 43K? ![]()

Yeah, we don't have sales tax but we get corn-holed on our state income taxes.

Must-have options?
Isn't that an oxymoron? You can have this car for 41k if you really wanted it bad enough. Sorry, but I don't feel the least bit sorry for anyone complaining about price. |

Should we start guessing on E90 335 pricing and announcement date?? I mean nothing else seems to be as interesting on the old E90 post.

The discussion on prices was for BASE model. It's so funny that people like you who were thousands off on the price come back saying "well, it's what I said it would be with those options" when the entire time, the discussion was for the BASE price. Just because you think that certain packages are "must haves" does not mean that defines the car as "base". Also, just because someone can afford 40K, but doesnot want to spend 47K, does not mean that the person cannot afford the car. You sound like a little kid sometimes, especially in some of your older posts where you're arguing with wyrm. Face it: you were wrong; it's not a big deal. So stop making excuses like "well, I was right, because with tax, and some options, it comes to $170K, like I said it would". A car with ZPP, ZSP, CA and Nav is not base. Maybe you have difficulty understanding that. |

Ofcourse, I umm "suggested" in November 2005: $41k for the 335 Turbo (off by $400) $36k for the 328 (off by $700) Although, as time went on, I shifted down slightly to $40k for the Turbo ![]() Hmm... makes you wonder... -Brett |
