Just that you know, in your video, everything was showing Chinese as expected but the map is not showing Chinese. The what supposed to be street names aren't showing in proper Chinese character. It is not decoded properly and therefore showing as funny symbols. |

Bmwretrofit,
Any new on when you are releasing the full USA combox telematics retrofit. It seems you were successful in the retrofit while keeping the original BMW assist account. It also mentions you will have a new adapter in the march (date?) package. |

@ello888: Thank you for your comment. We are aware of this issue. Actually this is due to the hardware-coding issue. Once CIC is installed and coded in real environment of the target vehicle everything will be displayed correctly.
@kikdown: As to my knowledge at present time there is no Bulgarian language support in CIC. I am sure it will be released in the near soon, especially because it is uses same Cyrillic letters as Russian one, which is supported. @Dregonix: Yes correct, we got some success in our tests with Telematics version of the Combox. We should be able to release the product by the end of the month. Also we are waiting for the 6NR to be fully released for E series in order to have a good offer to our customers. Thank you for reading, commenting and suggesting |

Hello,
I own a BMW E90 in June 2008. This one has the navigation pro and blutooth, Can you tell me what kit it takes to have exactly the same thing (that works) and what options are available. Sorry I do not understand English too and your site is not necessarily very clear. I could surf? steering remote work? voice recognition? front and rear radar work (PDC)? (no camera, a simple radar) Bluetooth Audio? (androidPhone and iphone) SMS via bluetooth? Video while I drive? Installation is it complicated? Possible to have the PDF assembly before purchase, to realize the difficulty? How it happens at BMW? obligation to return the old model or no problem for them? This is google translation, thank you for your reply. You are in Canada, You speak french? Last edited by exover; 03-14-2011 at 06:18 AM.. |

bmwretrofit: can you clarify on the following?
-have you been able to find a source within BMW that will link your BMW Assist account to your new Combox IMEI? if so, will this source also take care of other customers? -how does the internet function? does it use your BMW Assist account to receive data or does it require that your iPhone 4 has a tethering plan? -does any of the above information change for US customers? thanks!

Stealership just said I need a new CCC unit which will cost me $1,300. This has me seriously considering a retrofit for a few $300 more. Does it really include EVERYTHING I need, no hassles?

I would jump on this in a heartbeat (I have a 328i xDrive early 2010 model, so no COMBOX...all I want is to be able to bitsream my music from an iPod!! Oh and iPod out would be lovely too )
but...my CPO warranty isn't going to expire until 2015, : and I've got a really good feeling this would void that puppy. But, I still support your awesome work, and I assure you, if any component on my CIC fails and BMW drags their feet on replacing it, I will most certainly use it as an excuse to order your kit! |

I emailed them asking about BMW Assist. Their reply: "Unfortunately we cannot keep BMW Assist at this time while using and offering Combox Media only.
Please come back in late May-June and we will be happy to offer a solution which will allow you to keep BMW Assist while switching to the Combox." So, if we can be patient for another couple of months, we should have BMW Assist integration too. |

There are few opened questions left at the moment and the most important is the: clean and proper transfer of the existed BMW Assist account to the new hardware. We do not want to release any solution which is not complete yet. |
