As you can see by the shape of these lights they are unique and will only fit the E92 LCI Style bulbs.
Are you saying that these LED reverse bulbs are only for e92 LCI taillights? What about pre-LCI taillights?

Marc, that is awesome! The light has a nice wide spread and is uniform with no dark spots. The marks on the wall outline the LUX light area and show how much more area is lit compared to the stock. Looks Great!

No worries! LUX is making the E92 LCI bulbs, and HighPerformanceBulbs.com is making the E90 LCI/E92 Pre-LCI bulbs.

Some people get confused in all the LCI babble..

Ours fit:
2009+ E92 and 2011 E90 ONLY

921 bulb replacement.

We are looking into the other models in the near future.

Btw Marc, your lights look great!

*Redacted, I had a brain fart*
I think that should read 2007-2010 E92 [pre-LCI e92, excluding 335is], 2009-2011 E90 [LCI e90]

Well it replaces 921 bulbs. I keep finding information that suggest 921 is in some cars and not others.

If anyone is unsure what bulb they have just take it out it should say on it. I'm just going based off someone online replacement guides.

I come up with

2007 E92 H21W 64136
2008 E92 H21W 64137
2009 E92 921
2010 E92 921
2011 E92 921

Thanks guys!

You're not relying your information completely on Sylvania now, are you?

PreLCI E92 tail lights (I believe 2007-2010) and LCI E90 tail lights (2009+) are the ones that fit your bulbs. If you're telling people that these bulbs fit the 2011 E92, they're in for an unfortunate surprise because LCI tail lights use a different bulb type.

As you can see on Marc's version, that base is completely separate (and different) from the Pre-LCI versions.

So in other words, the HPB reverse lights that you guys currently offer fit only the following models:
2007-2010 Pre-LCI E92
2009-Present LCI E90

If I recall correctly, the E92 LCI taillights use some sort of 6W bulb, while the E90 pre-LCI taillights use the 1156 type bulb. So just want to make sure you're not getting upset customers

Oh, and the 921 can be cross-referenced with 194, 168, W5W, etc.

What he said...

The LCI bulb is odd. It seems like it should come out of the little base but I have yet to figure out how, and I know that there are others with a similar dilemma. Fortunately with Marcs light we dont have to worry about that.

Yeah I agree, I'm quite confused as to why BMW decided to take that route
But LUX's solution will appease E92 LCI owners, so all should be at peace in the world

Thanks for the clarification. I do mention to anyone that buys to double check they have a 921 bulb as it takes 10 seconds to check.

Those are the soon to be released LUX reverse lights in an LCI tail.
Pretty fricking bright and do a great job of putting the light where it is needed, behind the car.
Couple more photos below

the top 2 are one side LUX and one side stock

the bottom photo shows it on a garage door with stock next to it That is only one LUX reverse light and it is that bright. Distanceis about 10 feet from the door to the taillight
