the 5-10 is the newest beta with integration of PWM meth but its just an "addition" to the firmware you can use the same maps without meth .
Trust me, I'm confused like hell for all the beta maps we have now. Thanks much, homie!

Hi guys,
Been a busy weekend. We had a couple PWM kits to install. As well as 6AT with the newest (4 day old) DME software to test. Been testing/logging it for the last 2 days and it does look like the BMW did make some pretty significant changes to the DME logic. Some of you guys who have the newest software have been experiencing bad timing curves after the upshift. But it turned out to be an easy fix. Here is a datalog taken from this morning on this 6AT customer car:

I want to test this new map in our car with slightly older DME software to confirm that it works just as well. If possible, we don't want to have different maps for different software versions. I'll be testing this tonight.

And in case you are wondering if you have the newest DME software version, press and hold your DTC button for 3 seconds. If you get this icon on the screen, you do

Timing still isn't recovering normally based on which gear the car initially goes WOT in and where the timing recovers post-shift. Guess it wasn't my meth kit after all, right?

Timing recovery is perfectly normal. You are looking at Actual Ignition advance, not DME Ignition advance. This means it takes into account the 2-4 deg of CPS Retard.

Also, the biggest difference with the new DME software has to do with fuel mapping. In other words, we had to adjust our open loop fuel tables considerably. Which means that you would see the same issue if you injected too much meth.

14 psi off meth, can actual dme still recovers normally off meth. Can you explain why timing in the original gear is significantly higher than the post-shift gears? Are you saying CPS offset isn't working correctly in 2nd gear on that log?

I want AT maps now! I got my injection mode/meth map switching working perfectly finally. 3-30 still running great though, just have to wait a few more days I guess. Do the new maps still give WG rattle and you have to adjust the WG setting to 30-40%?

I'll be at Sac Wed night if you need a slightly oder DME version.

The only thing I see is that you got a knock retard event going from 3rd to 4th gear. Other than that, I don't understand what you are getting at. You don't have a Procede on your car. So please stop wasting my time in all these threads. It's getting old.

Yep, you will be able to adjust wastegate position as usual. Nothing changed in that respect.

Instead of speaking theoretically and (yet again) bashing Shiv's new maps, how about you just wait until people are running these new maps on their cars. If the problem disappears then that's great, if not then you can complain...

Current opinion is that the new update is thumbs up. But I know Shiv plans to test it for the next couple of days. Might be worth waiting until then.

Yeah, some day when I feel like sticking the stock airbox back on and pulling out the PROcede...maybe the 11th of Never.

Either that, or I find a way to flashing to the new DME firmware without going to a dealer.

Ok, continue deflecting the original reason I posted in the first place. Can you tell your existing user base how load targets perceived by the DME affect timing post-shift? Bet you anything this issue isnt fuel related.

And for those reading, Shiv is more than content letting his customers drive around on a broke ass tune, blaming hardware when thats was never the issue and marketing gimmicky meth kits which is the source of my anger.
