Yes, I should have clarified that I'm on v3.01 Aggressive, and was previously on v2.03 93 octane map.

This latest firmware is not a beta. Uncheck Beta in options and then click update.

Please elaborate...

Driving home in an hour with linear map just installed and i'm hoping that i dont run into limp-mode.
v301 aggressive, standard map. 93 octane Shell V-Power gasoline. I will check for codes and report back.

i used to love the STD map on V300... love the sudden power surge feel. but now on V301, i LOVE the Linear Sport map. very very smooth and very good to modulate the gas paddle whenever i need or don't need those power. man, this is what we've been waiting for!!!!!!!!! very manageable for street driving and i bet on track, it is very helpful too!
thanks COBB!!!

On stage 1 mapping, V203 standard was PERFECT for my driving style. Linear throttle mapping is a little unresponsive IMO. But everyone has different needs, just glad to see Cobb is catering to all!

A few observations on the throttle mapping. Linear is surprisingly the most aggressive throttle map. I would not have guessed that before seeing the charts.

Second observation is that every other map other than linear has maximum throttle position at about 90% of pedal position. The last 10% doesn't not give you any more.

V2 map looks interesting since it is not a numb as the stock throttle would appear to be, but still has some stock like low RPM correction on throttle vs. pedal to help with lag feel in that region.

Do you track your vehicle regularly? If not, I could easily see your point. If you track or autox, then I'd say your driving style just suits that map much better.

Are any of the new aggressive maps better suited for autos (e.g., less drivetrain shock)? Thanks

I'm kinda late to the game, but my auto shifts quickly and firmly without issue on any of the Cobb maps I've tried (V203 93 octane standard, stage 2 beta).

Been trying out 301 aggressive linear and holy crap it is smooth. The difference is VERY noticeable compared to any other map or other tunes I've tried before. Its so smooth it feels like a NA car instead if FI. Driving around town with low to moderate throttle it feels faster than v203 but once you get on it the car doesnt have that massive pull that a turbo normally has. I think the linear map is too smooth for me. Going to try v2 map later...

2. when you track you keep your rpm's in the powerband so i don't think it's really all that beneficial to try and make things more linear. my evo with cobb tune had that kick in the pants at 3k rpms and i had no trouble tracking that

i was just giving people my opinion. when i was trying to figure out which map to go with i wish i would have seen someone post an opinion like this. oh well, only took an extra 15 min out of my day to flash it and test it really. still waiting for stage 2 maps though so hopefully this is only temporary anyhow
I was just trying to say that it probably comes down to your driving style, I didn't mean to come across as condescending.

It benefits those at the track more. Nobody likes to go around a turn at the limit of adhesion and at the onset of throttle tip in see 18 PSI and up backwards into a wall

Although some people do like linearity anyway so as to expect boost VS throttle at a 1:1 ratio.

Some tunes with that on and off switch feel are hard to drive if you enjoy partial throttle high RPM driving situations.

Is it me or does alternate throttle V2 feel like stock power unless you have the pedal pretty far down?

Joined the Cobb club today, and totally love it!!! Loaded the aggressive linear throttle map (V301) and coming from a JB+ all I can say is holly f@ck!!!! I love driving my car again. The only problem I have is the fuel plausibility code 29F1 or something like that. Hopefully my HPFP isn't going south. Had it replaced in the spring. Otherwise the car pulls like a mad ape without and hickups or limp modes.

Big to Cobb!!!

having some trouble here- I'm currently using v203.

opened up my AP manager, clicked update, and it spent a few minutes updating to the latest firmware.
Then it told my firmware was up to date.
go back to look at my list of maps and they're all still v203 in the manager.
Tried clicking update firmware numerous times, and it keeps telling me I'm up to date but when looking at maps it still only shows the older maps.

suggestions? i

thanks

^Your firmware is updated. Delete your 203 maps and download new 301 maps off their site...

so after I up date to the latest firmware I have to manually download the latest maps? going through this link and choosing my ECU correct?

http://cobbtuning.com/info/?id=5894

do I have to download them all (thats for my version) or just the ones that I want to use? also do I have to delete all the old maps? just want to make sure I dont screw anything up.

thanks.

Download the maps that only you want. Delete the maps that you won't be using anymore.

Only download the ones for your ECU and you can just download whatever maps you feel you will use.
