The price was $490 painted oem color (send them your color code from your vehicle's order) including shipping. I didn't want the hassle of trying to find a shop to paint it so I ordered it complete. They use the OEM paint code & process for aftermarket parts.

Ilia told me a week for paint and a week for shipping. I should have it by the middle of the first week of June.

Like the painted reflectors, this is something I think the car should come with OEM. Yeah, I know, U.S. DOT requires the orange reflectors at the front. They can kiss my

Once you start to look at the coupes with this front lip installed, the factory front looks too plain (to me). There are several install threads with tips that I am going to follow....

I'm really bored so to pass some time I logged in to the OC to see the status of my car. Wasn't surprised to see it still listed as "En route" knowing the latency of updates. To kill 3 more minutes, I called the 800#. Was really surprised to hear that my car was "at port awaiting a shipping vessel with no shipping information available!" Seems my status dropped back a few notches. Why change the message at all? Why not just leave it as "In transit". They trying to make me think I didn't make the boat? My car best be getting cleaned up at the VPC.

The lower front bumper part. Here is the stock bumper:



And here is the BMW Aero Front Spoiler/Lip:



It's a subtle difference, but I really like it. I'm generally one to go for mods that improve performance and not flash, but this is just enough for me. It looks so good to me that it appears OEM, which it is in a way, since it comes from BMW.

Yeah, I saw you on that thread inquiring too! You don't have Active Cruise do you? There is a different P/N for cars with Active Cruise because of the transmitter/receiver in the front bumper...

Thanks. I actually PM'ed him last week and was about to order, but I wanted to wait until delivery to see if the dealer can do it for a reasonable cost and roll it into the financing. They wouldn't order just the front, they would only do the whole it.

I will probably order it from the same place you guys did.

I agree that this should be the standard (especially with the sport package). It looks so much better with it.

I don't think I could stand another 10-week wait!!!

Anyway I checked the WW website for my VIN and sure enough it was discharged today, meaning it's at the VPC now.

My dealer (who has been fantastic this entire time, by the way), confirmed for me that they will install my Style 230 rims and do the tech inspection, but will not do any detail on the car, just as I requested.

I guess at this point it's just a matter of waiting for the call!!!

Actually I'm somewhat impressed. It was there on Tuesday the 22nd, so the OC is only two days behind. Not bad considering it's been 4+ days behind reality for most of this ordeal...

I picked it up this afternoon at South Bay BMW. I have much to comment and post on... will do so later and in the appropriate threads. For now, I can just tell you with pleasure, I am finally a BMW driver! :-D

Well this part of the wait does officially suck. Probably not as much as if the ship never reported...but still. Knowing it's at the VPC, and just having to wait for the call.

I was thinking about this today and theorized that since my car sat at Bremerhaven for 6 days, it was probably one of the first in line of the 1,256 BMW's to be loaded onto Carmen. That almost guarantees that it will be one of the last off... At this point, I am hoping for a delivery sometime at the end of next week, maybe Friday or Saturady.

Then there is always the possibility of damage during transit...no, stop...I'm going to go have a drink and calm down...

This has been a blast being able to keep track of this car over the past several weeks. I should be picking mine up in the next few days, but if it wasn't for the constant map updates and chit chat along the way, it would have been miserable. I am going to miss the thread.

I am assuming that our builds all have the updated oil coolers, fuel pumps, Navigation, etc? Were there any other improvements that we should expect?
