LyriCeZ - awesome pics! I'm glad to see that the lux rings made it over to germany with no problems. Maybe other people will start asking you where you got these and we can get more people out there to get these!

Dang, I'd consider these if they didn't look like a bitch to put in. You really have to take the tire off and rip out a big chunk of the headlights? I guess that's why replacing the OEM bulb for the halos isn't in the user's manual.
(not that I'm concerned about the work involved, just that I don't feel like tearing apart by brand new bimmer) Last edited by sor; 08-15-2007 at 05:27 PM.. |

I am sorry but I am a little bit rusty on most recent LED developments. What is the life expectancy of LUX 4.0? It seems like it is a fairly complicated device that requires a powerful power supply and LED. Do they both need cooling or just LED? Did you develop it with any spare capacity or the goal was to get maximum out of it at all cost? What is the MTBF expectancy for a cooling fen?
PS I really like LUX 4.0 solution and ready to pull the plug and place my order. I appreciate if you can answer my questions so I have a better idea of what to expect and when.

overall expectancy should be no less then 2 years, and even that should be an understatement cooling.... The LED's do need to be cooled hense the heatsinking built into the unit. The powerunit is very efficent and does not be be cooled however. the powerunit is a sealed unit as well and it was designed that way my the manufacturer. I hope that answers your questions ![]() |
