Banner day. . . upgraded from Goodyear fun flat tires to Michelin PSS tires, installed OEM BMW Performance aluminum pedals, and did my very first oil change, which is the "in between oil change" because I still get my oil changed for free at BMW.

Set the coilovers a little higher on all 4 corners. Oil change. Had to replace the expansion tank because it started to leak around the seals, 77k miles on it. Part was $102 at BMW.

Hoo boy...realized the other day that I had mounted two of my Michelin X-ice 3's on the wrong wheels...direction of rotation was wrong on right rear and left front. Swapped them to correct the screw-up and took it town. Noticeable steering wheel vibration at about 45 mph; this cleared up after driving about 25 miles...the tires had been mis-mounted for about 400-500 miles. Also I have been washing it regularly as the roads are filthy.

Not technically today but over the weekend:

1. Oil/filter change
2. New plugs
3. Drain/refill rear differential
4. Inspected the brakes and suspension components
5. Took front section of splash shield to retrieve screwdriver dropped form up above

This was my first preventative maintenance on a BMW. I typically do all my own vehicle maintenance outside of major engine work and I will say that aside from the time to remove everything to get to the plugs, I really didn't have too many issues. I did have one ignition coil that I could not get off to save my life on cylinder #1. Tried twisting as I pulled to no avail. Still have to get that one off so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Installed my Kinivo bluetooth adapter to remove some wire clutter, looks way cleaner now with my Galaxy Tab 4 on my Kuda mount with no aux cable running to armrest..
