I think this one looks alright?

This one, however, was a longer pull from 2-4th and appears to be lots of timing pulls. The only log I have with these types of timing pulls. This was 3 minutes prior to the above chart

Thoughts?

Thank you,
Something is not a 100% right with your engine's performance.
Have the plugs and coils been replaced already recently? What about the injectors?

MHD Stage 2+ 93oct

https://datazap.me/u/danwogan/2-28-3...ata=3-13-22-23

Was recently misfiring due to mistorqued spark plugs. All set now and did a 3rd gear pull just for S's and G's. Boost seems to be consistently below target (1psi throughout the pull). But I've hit 20+ psi before, so it's not like it's incapable. LPFP is still stock so that seems to be dipping a bit, but doesn't seem to be bringing the HPFP into the danger zone yet. Anything else you see amiss?

It will load the HP pump more. And eventually cause it to get lean. Which wont help with timing.

Car seems to pull hard even with the timing pulls.
But you're getting some throttle closures as it hits load target. Not really a problem but some more tuning will need be done if you want more.

Its a compromise. But the timing issues will be worse in higher gears and as you get back to summer heat. Might try one heatrange colder plug.

Your ambient air is 14.2 psi so its a little above sealevel. IT wont make quite as much boost there. Someone can add some WasteGate DC work and get you some more boost but they are getting a little high at the top of third. I would see what a 4th gear log shows. Its looks pretty close for an OEM map.

Pumps will get a little more load in 4th.. but just from the duration of the pull, not really from higher fuel requirements.

going over boost and load targets bigtime - causing throttle closures.

Also hitting traction control. Turn off DTC.

Might need to flash back to a base map for a bit and then try it again.

Thanks mate, i dont ever really drive with traction control enabled its usually always off, especially for logs. Are you 100% sure that traction control is active in the log or can you be seeing somthing else. I highly doubt i would habe left it on for the log but its possible.

It was absolutely off for the afternoon and racing event with no change.

Didn't feel it on the pull but believe the logs. How worried should I be about the lpfp dipping into the low 50's like that? Swap back to regular pump until I can upgrade the lpfp?

This is the second time in about a week someone said they had DTC off and it still did something. Send me a PM with your email and I will direct you to someone that might be able to help.

Short term throttle closures arnt bad.. they are a new 'feature' for v8 maps, helps keep spool up nearing load targets.

As far as pump pressures, sub 50s combined with <1500s on the high pump is not good.. It wont help anything. If the HP pump stays above 1500 you should be ok - just make sure it's not going lean up there.. It will likely show up at the top of the RPM band and these things dont need to spin above 6250 anyway.. .

edit
Now that I think about it, it probably wont show up as an AFR change due to DI motors approximating, the short term trims might start to add fuel. Id watch for that, but just shift at 6200...

Thanks for the detailed reply as always. Roger that regarding the ambient pressure being so high above sea level. I think I'm at around 1200ft here in mid Michigan. A custom tune would benefit me there for sure.

I will make an effort to log a 3rd-4th gear pull on the highway sometime to really test the LPFP.

Thanks again for the reply!

Garage List
Hey guys,
Planning on going FBO and using MHD 2+ for a tune. I had a few questions. If this is the wrong thread let me know what the correct thread is.
1) I'll be running catless downpipes and dont want the CEL codes on my dash. Is there a way to remove only the codes related to the codes that are thrown by not having cats?
2) If this feature is turned on will non related CEL codes still come on for example If I get a misfire or something like that?
3) Can you setup alerts for lean conditions? or other bad things to monitor?
4) If I wanted to datalog once I have the FBO's in place to make sure everything is running properly what parameters should I be datalogging?

Thanks in advance!

Looks pretty good actually. I would think it could take a little more than 16psi and not quite a much taper. But it will take a custom tune to do it.

WGdcs look ok - so the snails can probably take a little more.

Superflow dyno. We couldnt get a tach signal so we did tire size, and compared to rpm gauge and got it spot on pretty much. 40 bucks to dyno, cant complain.

Eh, its just the S1 map for 91. They dont make a lot.

When it hits load target (specifically boost mean exceeds boost target), it closes throttle as a 'feature'.

And actually boost mean is even higher for your logs.

Go S2 if you want more my friend.

Thanks for reviewing my log! I guess I was just a little concerned with the target/psi since MHD states that they target 15psi with a taper down to 11-12. That's what is confusing me.

Yes you are correct. Bank 1 is throwing a lean code at the moment (2c31) so it's running rich in that bank to compensate for it. Injectors are going in this weekend.
