I am tempted to do it myself however am always a little nervous when performing a new task, especially when it requires being under the car with it running. |

Another new guy! Just picked up a '12 335is convertible in TX and drove it back - all in one day. Was loving the hell out of it for a few days until I blew the charge pipe up. Now, waiting for my BMS charge pipe which will be in tomorrow. Can't wait to get it in and test it out!!!
I'm in N. Central Phx. What is the consensus on BMS DCI from the AZ people? Concerned about the heat here, and contemplating sending mine back before even installing. Some say AZ is too damn hot and recommend CAI instead. Obviously that would be better, but I can't justify the money, especially since I won't be running a heavy mod. No other mods yet, although the I might do the BMS Stage 1 plug n play. I'm thinking standard box with K&N? What say the knowledgable people living in this f'ing convection oven? |

DCI, fmic, downpipes, jb4 or cobb. 120f summer or freezing az winter car does well. Rb turbos car still does well. Ive modded 2 335i and have 100k mi experience in az.
Do it and enjoy it! My rb e93 is my daily 30k miles fbo plus rb turbos, e50 map does better than my 91 map in the summer. See my sig for the $2k 420whp recipe or the $10k 507whp recipe. Stick to that and dont waste your money on anything else. I just moved to north phx. Where are the conveyor carwashes? Where are the cheapo non moving carwashes? I went to 4 diff places all had rails to pull the car along while smashing your wheels bumpers and side skirts. #lowlife 101 and i17 area |

Thanks for the input! Really helpful. I'll check out your recipe. Impressive #'s. Great info!
I'm at Cave Creek and Cactus. There are two conveyor washes within a 1/2 mile called Quick n Clean. I pay $10/month for unlimited. I've run it through 4 times, with no noticeable damage. BUT, I'm stock. I'll keep my eyes open for damage. |

Scottsdale one off 101 and frank Loyd and cave creek have rails, those are out. Ive been going to chevron classic car autospa on scottsdale road (n of the 101) it also has E85! They said they got bought by cobblestone but wont honor the $15 membership till they convert end of the year. Probably won't be the handwash then touchless combo anymore tho.

Sorry, I didn't even know any of them had conveyor belts. I don't know about the cobblestone at 51& Bell. I'm stock, so I'm not having any problems with the rails (at least I don't think). I can see why you might though...
