IDK if anyone mentioned but to change the volume of the guiding speaker of your navigation you have to wait till she says something and then turn the volume knob... it will only work while she's speaking!

When I was washing my car the other day I noticed that the mirrors folded in automatically.... Happened when I was rinsing the doors.

Nice one. People have been trying to figure out how to lower/raise the navi volume for years. Even the dealerships had no clue.

Yeah I absolutely hate this feature. I don't get it. I think I turned mine down all the way....so I don't know when she is speaking to turn it up!

I've had my car for five years and never noticed that there is a power adapter plug in the center console (at the back near the hinge). lol

Not going to read all 89 pages to see if this was mentioned...

But I found out last week when playing a CD you can skip to either the beginning track (Track 1) or the end track (Track XX) by pushing the "M" button and then either the < to go back to track 1, or> to go to the last track on the CD.

I've only had my car 7 years and 217,000 miles, LOL.

If you have the comfort access option, the driver can initiate the door lock process upon exiting the car while the passenger is still getting out. Once the passenger closes their door, the beep will be heard and the doors will be locked.

My girlfriend takes forever to exit the car and I dreaded waiting for her to get out and close her door so I can lock the car using the handle method. Now, I just do my thing and the car will wait for her. The funny part is, she was the one who discovered this feature while waiting for someone else.

This could be in the Owner's Manual, or have been posted previously...

Pre-LCI 2009 E92 CIC will still play Pandora via Y-Cable, even though there isn't an option for it on the iDrive.

It's similar if you don't have a Comfort Access.
If any of the doors or trunk is open, you can still push the Lock button on the fob, and the car will set the alarm once everything has closed.

I use this all the time when lugging home groceries and stuff.
I open up the trunk, click the Lock button, and then I can put the keys in my pocket and have full use of my hands to unload and carry. When everything is out of the trunk, I use an elbow to shut the trunk and a second later the alarm chirps telling me the car is secure.

On the cruise control... I just noticed yesterday - had the car for 3 years now - that if you push or pull the cruise control stalk past the indent it will increase or decrease the set speed by 5 mph instead of the 1 mph you get by tapping it. Pretty neat.

This works for me too, I have an 07 328i. The only thing is that it won't work if only the drivers door is open.

If you and someone else get out of the car, you close your door first and press the lock button on the key fob, the car will lock because another door is still open.

But if it's just you getting out then you cant lock the car until after you close your door.

There is also a power plug underneath the passenger glove box, on the left side near the floor. Not sure if everyone knows this and if its only in later models (I have a 2011 E90)

Actually when I lock my car with the key the alarm has never chirped. I would assume it came standard with the car. I did buy the car used so maybe the previous owner somehow turned it off.

I just discovered something today; haven't seen mention of it anywhere. If you lightly brush your fingers over the preset buttons on the "radio" controls (I have iDrive so it's not really a radio per se) on the nav screen in a bar on the top it will display what the presets are.

I've had this car for something like 9 months now and I'm still finding new stuff...!

When you say "Lock my car with the key" you mean putting the key in the door and turning?
You might want to experiment, as I know of some cars that when you use the mechanical door lock, the alarm isn't automatically armed. Only the other way around, (using the alarm will lock the doors).
