In 1912, the number three best-selling automobile in the USA was Overland. Only Ford and Buick sold more cars. In 1913 Overland overtook Buick to become number two; the brand remained popular for a number of years thereafter.
The 1912 Overland Model 61 Tourer cost $1,500 new.

Went to a pit and paddock cars and coffee at Warrington Porsche on Saturday. What a nice turnout.
The cars you see at typical cars and coffees were all there and then a few that you never get to see. Like the this one.... There were three 918's and a Carrera GT on display. |

Isotta Fraschini was an Italian automobile manufacturer that was the first to mass-produce the inline straight eight-cylinder engine in the early 1920s as the Tipo 8.
The original engine displaced 5.9 liters and was later enlarged to 7.3 liters. Horsepower went from 80 in the earlier cars to 120 in the later ones and an SS variant upped power to 160 hp. Here are two Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8As: a 1927 Boat-Tail Tourer and a 1930 SS Torpedo. Check out the monster doors on the '30.
