the vinyl trim wrapping on my driver side door is peeling and the plastic underneath is no better than a sub $15k car. i'm not too angry since I bought the car solely on how it drives, but it really makes me wonder how large bmw's profit margins are for each 3 series sold...

Same here, for me the bmw embelem on the steering wheel is fading, material on the steering wheel is rubbing off, the plastic piece on the steering wheel has already been replaced, and material on the door is also peeling.

Some of the materials they choose to use are just mindblowingly cheap looking.

Enough about our cheap BMW's. What's your impression of the Escort Max?

DSC off
The Burger tuning JB4 has an option to go to DTC on startup (first button push) but you would still have to push teh button to completely turn off DSC.

I wish I had read this prior to buying the BMW Dual USB power adapter for the center console. Although, that additional power outlet is in a really obscure location. If you leave you charger plugged in, the chord just piles up int he passenger foot well. Oh well. I can charge three phones at a time now!

you'd have to check your particular car. Mine did not come with an alarm but I added it, once I did, I now have the option of chirp or no chirp. I left the chirp activated; it's a little obnoxious but I need the feedback to let me know that it's armed, because my habit (developed from driving POS Chevy company cars) is to press the lock button about 5x while walking away from the car because I was never sure if the car was really locked or not (sometimes it wasn't, and I nearly broke my fingernails several times trying to open a locked door on those POSes) unfortunately if you press the lock button twice on a BMW it disables the motion sensor, and sometimes I will leave the windows down in the summer if I'm just running into a convenience store or something, I would like for the alarm to go off if some POS decides to try to reach inside the car.

I didn't realize until today that the window switches still worked after I powered down my vehicle. Not sure how long that is the case, or if it's the fact I have Comfort Access and I was still sitting in it, etc. Guess maybe I should
