Gary, whats a good source for a nice lightweight tripod for my 50D? I need something I can put on my backpack in Honduras and Turkey? The Carbon Fibre ones at Calumet photo are more than a new front bumper on my car...Yawza

I'm a fan of bogen/manfrotto. I have a 488rc2 ballhead and 055xprob legs although I'm not sure if they still make that combo. Not featherlight but not overly heavy either. You should be able to get a good setup for under $300.
