Marc,

To clarify, is your project specific to the 2011+ E92 LCI-style reverse bulb, or will it be compatible with the 2007-2010 E92 921-style bulb?

This will be explained once i get a official thread posted, but these will ONLY be compatible with the E92 LCI style reverse bulbs.

I just talked with HPB and they have another reverse light solution coming in about 2 weeks. IT will have a different price point but it should be brighter then their current solution. That's good news for people that want the most light output or just a little more light output without spending an arm and a leg. Way to go HPB and TGS.

What about these right now?

http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/bmw2020e92an.html

Anyone running these yet? Thoughts? Error free, or are error correcting modules needed?

Also are any of these needed?

http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/erco.html

I was also looking at the turn signals for the front, but not sure how much of a PITA those are.

I currently have a 2008 e92 with LED reverse lights. I bought a 32 LED Festoon bulb from some website but i had to use a resistor to get them to work. I did this awhile ago so I'm not sure what the website was.

I'm picking up my 2011 e92 this week so i'm real excited about this new LUX reverse LED.

The HPB bulbs are error-free (so no need for external error correctors), and the turn signals (according to multiple reviewers) are error free as well

Have both. Error Free from HPB. No BS.No need for extra error correcting modules.

Turn signals can be a pain in the ass if you have a Dinan intake, otherwise the hardest part was lining up the tabs with the contacts on the headlight housing

Of all the intakes out their I dont think the Dinan intake is the most popular. The majority should be in the clear

True, but i didnt want to comment on something and not give the contributing factors to the dificulty. Probably pretty easy without the intake and larger oil cooler on the other side.

On a different note:

Marc - I was looking at my reverse light on my LCI e92 and it seems like a pain in the ass to take out. Does the bulb come right out after you remove those two Hex screws? Also, do your LED's slip right in the stock housing or is it a really tight fit?

It is easy. Unplug the connections to the housing from the car. Remove the three nuts that hold the housing in and take it out. That makes it a lot easier to get the light out. Remove the two torx screws and take the bulb out. Slide the two connectors off and done. The bulb does not come out of the grey base without a fight and it is not necessary.
Marc's version of the light replaces the whole thing. Held in by the same two torx screws and has the holes in the base for the alignment pins on the housing to make sure it is lined up properly. It fits in without a problem but the angle makes it a little tricky. I just take the housing out and do it that way. Easier for me and dont have to worry about dropping the torx screw into the housing and then having to take it out anyway
You could do it without removing the housing but the angle of the light and the rubber gasket it make it a little more work to get to.

+1 - what he said. you basically just need to remove the 2 hex screws and the original bulb will come out.

I just got off the phone with Jeff from Top Gear Solutions and apparently they have a reverse bulb that is working but they have a new one they need to test so I will be waiting to see whats going on with that. From my understanding the lux is only for the new models? I get confused with LCI terminology so excuse my ignorance on the subject.

Below was the thread in question:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=530835

I was looking for the brightest reverse lights for a 2009.
