I went to the track. Ran 13.303 @ 108.39 and 13.528 @ 104.78 (forgot to shift). Rev to 3,000 for launch. Was 90 degrees out. Beat a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport off line for first 400 ft then he passed me for a 12.9 @ 110. Not bad for a tune only on runflats. The cars normally running 10's or better were having problems with heat and track. AWD might have helped me a bit.
Would other tunes give me similar results? Is this about average? Would I be better off with Vishnu or other tune? Not sure another tune would give any increase unless I add a few more mods. Thanks. |

I ve just installed my cobb on 335xi 6sp manual and all i can say it's great. Flash in 18 min and saved the stock calibration. I'm using 91 octane map for now and after 3000rpm the car pulls hard, i 'll check 0-60,1/4 mile time and then will see how it was improved in numbers!!!

I put car into sport mode on the auto tranny. Turn off all traction/stability controls by holding in DTC button until warning light on dash shows up. Hold the brake and floor it until 2500rpms wait for green and gooooo. It is so much easier to launch than my manual Sti and manual Evo. It was an art to not burn the clutch or shudder. I also used to launch at 4500 rpms in them. This cars turbos and torque hit much sooner. I love to drive stick but this auto is sweet and easy as my daily driver.

Personal best:
12.5 @ 111 Mods: FBO (no meth and stock exhaust after downpipes) Terrible 60 ft. Procede on 14.5 psi. 90 degrees. No idea on the humidity. Will rerun tomorrow if possible with Procede at 15 psi, FBO, Full Turboback Exhaust, no meth. |
