No worries on charging anything..just split the beers.

I've got a heated garage, so that might be ideal depending on where you're located..?

I'm free whenever so let me know what works for you!

Clearly I should get some type of consultant's fee

Haha that's legit. You should come hang out when we do it!

regarding the computers, I've had my university-issued bottom line basic HP with MS Vista laptop for 3 years now with no problems...if I were to buy one, however, I honestly would be a very uninformed and misguided buyer, hahA

I'm curious to see this in person. I just used the little window sticker they send you.

There's nothing like watching your pride and joy driving on the road..especially when there's an attractive girl driving it, haha. You're right, you can see the brakes SO well thru the wheel! The taillights on the new cars are soooo nice, I'd do the LCI trunk just to get the taillights!

We should have done some rolling shots of your car before you took the wheels off! I hope to get some next spring once I get some 19s.

I think part of the 3's appeal is you get really get a stripped down one if you just want the perfect 50/50 chassis and wonderful handling. I see the 5'er as a luxury car first with a lot of sport mixed in. The 3 more sport and then luxury.

Nick
The F10s screen is integrated into the dash, not a pop up (which I agree suck). I didn't mean the nav would be standard, just iDrive like on the F10. You're probably right though, I doubt they would make even that standard on the 3er. Do you think we'll be looking at a 340i lol?

So I need an opinion:

Do I take the first aid kit, warning triangle, and flash light or do I leave it for it's next owner? Part of me wants the ED stuff but the other part hopes that these items are special/cool to the next owner (I hope she goes to another enthusiast)? I mean, if I got a used BMW, I'd be bummed to not get the flashlight or tools...

Nick

EDIT: Gary, what came with your car? Do you have a first aid kit, warning triangle, and flashlight? Do the '11s come with tools? I heard that they didn't?
Yeah, I'd let the tools and fun stuff go with the car. Makes the new owner connect on a deeper level, haha. Hopefully it does go to another enthusiast.

I always forget that you did the EuroDelivery...that is so awesome.

You get bugger all with the 2011s! You get a screwdriver, tow hook and the owners manual.

I let everything go with my last 335, except for the little LED flashlight in the glovebox. I was just annoyed that they were being cheap by no longer giving it to you

I'd have to think about the triangle and first aid kit. They aren't expected on a US spec car, and are kind of a souvenir from your ED trip. As much as we'd like our old cars to go to enthusiasts, I think the chances are slim. I can't imagine too many owners even knowing what these items are!

How about all of the above? I am a fan of microbrews and minnesota has some good ones. In any case we could do a sweet "exhaust and beers" type meet.

Has anyone tried the Masala Mama IPA at the Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery? I haven't had the opportunity to try it out yet but would love to sometime soon.

It's rated as one of the top 25 beers on planet earth according to the Beeradvocate ranking

Exhaust and Beers...

This sounds pretty good..

That's cool that the Dinan is straight bolt on. I did not know that. Either way, cool looking/sounding exhaust system, Not a huge fan of the dummy tips though.

Man that was a bitch. A zillion scooters cutting you off, 7 million miles from home, in a new car. It was insane.

Lots of interesting memories from that trip. Went there by myself and didn't know a lick of German or French. Still embarrassed to this day for being a poor representative of the United States :P - I promise I'll do better next time

Nick
OH I can imagine the chaos...kinda lucky for navigation if you can understand the street signs, haha. I'd have to bring another person with me to laugh at how ridiculous we would be.

I'll bring some beers too... you don't need all of us to drink your payment.

Not much to worry about with this install. I did mine with a buddy and it didn't take long. The thing that takes the most time is tweaking with the fitting of the pipes.

It is really straight forward. From what I hear, Brian could probably be near blind and drunk and still probably get this done very well.

Update for the Dyno Day:

UPDATE: Just spoke with Nick @ MAP. Since this began as a few of us, it was going to be $75...but now there are is more interest, it is now $65. If there are 20+ cars that show up (which is not impossible given the attention on other forums), then it'll be $55.

Another request of Nick was to get 4-5 guys to pre-pay to make sure they wouldn't show up for nothing. Not sure why...but it's a request. We can call Nick at 763-432-5448. If there are more than 20 cars, they'll just give the $10 refund.
