My upper radiator hose o ring looked ok, one part of the o ring wasn’t as exposed as the rest but still passed over the plastic lip. I have replaced these o rings on the hoses in the past though with good success
fastboatster Just mentioned them here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...9#post28904129 Whether they'll have the correct match up is another thing, but pretty cool bit of info!

Exactly. I'd also throw a bottle of Techron in it as well.

Some say it's snake oil, but its kept my index 7s running for 143K miles!
Good shout. Ordered a bottle of Forte Petrol Injector cleaner and fuel filter - Someone told me my car doesn't have a fuel filter. It's a 320i LCI petrol auto saloon. Not sure if that's correct : but if they're right, I'll sell em off.

The injector cleaner should arrive within the week and get emptied into the tank. Rough idle's still there but not as severe, no more EML and engine doesn't turn itself off. Once I drive off, it disappears. BTW, it's almost as if the car doesn't like stop and go traffic. She's been behaving after long runs

This weekend I finally did the chrome delete. I was nervous to begin but it went very well (those felt gloves made the job easy). Now it's sitting in the sun to cure the wrap. Next is to wash, clay bar, ceramic wax (wheels included) and ready for the summer season.

I bought the kit ($72 this year, $63 last year) again from FCP Euro. I was planning on returning the oil under their lifetime warranty, but I feel cheap doing so. How do they stay in business doing this?
I can't imagine sending fluids back... they're relatively inexpensive to begin with, and shipping costs would probably be more than half of the refund amount. Filters I could see, but again, they're cheap to begin with. I bet 90% of people don't return anything for those reasons. If I lived nearby and could just walk in, that would be a different story! :-) For consumables, I bet windshield wipers, spark plugs, coils, coolant hoses... those would be pretty easy to ship as they are lightweight and have a pretty decent cost. That's my plan at least!
If you purchase from FCB using a PayPal account you can get free return shipping on the used oil and filter from PayPal - this effectively makes your FCB sourced oil change FREE. This is how you maximize FCP's already generous return policy. Takes a little effort to box up the old oil and take to Post Office, but at the end of the day its FREE.

They're talking BS. The fuel filter on an E90 Is integrated into the LH sender unit assembly of the fuel tank.

I see. Gotchya. They did show me a video of an e90 with a fuel filter underneath the car. I've found it's underneath the rear seat behind the driver - U.K. car. Thanks.

On Sunday, I finally did the brake fluid flush, changed the oil, and put the summer tires on. Was having a hard time with the Motive at first so visions of the dealer having to do it were in my mind, but luckily the Motive started to seal properly...

Folk, my E91 was running great after valve cover seal replacement , around 25km ride, I was going into the storage for summer and the engine started to run like diesel at a red light: miss fire big time. Had to keep my foot on gas to avoid stalling the engine to go back home.

WHAT COULD be the MOST probable issue ?

- cam sensor?
- Air leak ?
- O2 sensor?
- PCV hose ( heard a crack when reinstalling it)

Ive recheck injector, o2 and cam sensor plug/unplung, clear code.
Ill remove the cover this weekend to see, but damn, Im wondering what could be wrong.

I did many valve cover gasket, and this is a 1st !!!

(btw I did glue the seal on the cover to avoid pinching it during reinstall. )

Replaced my old beat up strut mounts, didn't fix my clunking and banging sounds when turning the wheel and over bumps and sway bar links hitting the knuckle. Perfect when you do all that work and it's still doing the same crap.

I think PCV hose is likely the issue.

Damn it. AC compressor pulley went bad and shredded the belt. I heard the compressor but ignored it too long. Was literally 200 yards from the shop when it let go. Damn it. Hopefully no belt parts ingested at the crank seal. Damn it.
