Its odd that we enjoy fine luxuries like BMW's, fine wine and cuisine and nice digs and killer vacations, but when it comes to clothes for the man, and yourself, you skimp.

Justifying the expense of a nice suit, is not easy, but unless you have ever tried a luxury suit, and felt a luxury suit on you, and worn a luxury suit, and gone to a meeting, a wedding or a presentation in a luxury suit, one cannot appreciate a luxury suit, anymore that the guy driving the Chevy that cant justify a german import and its attributes.

Its one thing to be cheap, its another thing to be ignorant, to be both is only your fault. If you really want to look your best, and make an impression, before you even utter a word or shake a hand, the image you project, just like your car or your home, is says more about you than you think. Not to be snobby or have an attitude, not at all, but to be a well dressed and respected man that is comfortable and confident in his own skin, and his clothes, skimping on the wardrobe is visible in more ways you may perceive, so take note of why its important, and why fine clothing makes the man.

With that, Mens Warehouse is fine for clothes that are on par with not impressing anyone, but being dressed in accordance with acceptable. Depending on your business, and earnings, directly reflects your wardrobe. If you are earning $100K in a sales job, its best you invest in better clothing, especially if you interact with senior management and decision makers.

I am not preaching, just alerting men to the needs of a personal wardrobe, that reflects style, personality and attitude, before you even say, Hello.

are you talking to me or someone else? If me, I think you have misread me. I in fact don't buy MTM, and haven't in years. My statement was when I started. I only wear custom made suits now.

But, if you are talking about Gary and Jay, well Gary is still in school and Jay isn't in "business" and is usually in scrubs so their clothing needs are different than mine.

It just a statement about the need to justify spending good money to look good, for many its not a priority, for others, it should be seriously considered as a foundation element of a professional career. I have not had to wear a suit for a month now, its sure feels good. But good for you wearing MTM, your spoiled, once you go custom, its hard to back, thats for sure.

My MW suit has served me well for the interviews/career fairs/etc that I've done so far. I've never really felt underdressed anywhere I've gone compared to those around me (read: other asshole college kids) but I know I can definitely move up to something a little better now. It doesn't fit me perfectly like it used to so I'll be getting something new in the near future since I want to look my best when interviewing for FT positions soon. I completely agree that having a well-sorted wardrobe and clothes that fit properly can really change how you carry yourself day-to-day and your confidence.
