I agree, I can only hope that they will deter or simply slow down the theives a little. Either way, I think that $58 investment makes me feel marginally better about potentially walking out to the car and finding it sitting on blocks.

The one piece that kept the nitrous build from being finished to completion. Fitting for the fuel feed line adapter.

Made some more space for activities. Still have a few wheels to hang up. Separation my tools and detail stuff finally.

Got the tank bracket finished up so I don’t have to drill into any furniture and dismount whenever I feel like it.

Changed the plugs, they were in good condition considering 150,000km, the 160 interval makes sense.

The FCP ignition tune up kit with Bosch coils came with NGK plugs instead of Bosch. We will see how they hold up.

This is the first time I didn’t use anti seize on the plugs, I didn’t want to over torque them and used a torque wrench to 16nm, on the lower end to be safe.

Also changed filters at 50,000km, it seems like a good interval, they were dirty but not clogged

My plugs were toasted when I did them last month, I'm sure I was the first person to ever change them. 98k when I purchased and did them at 99k.

You should make a thread about this, as I am curious.
What size jets?
What is the expected power to be delivered when activated?
I am assuming this not in tune with the DME and just shooting into the engine.

The bottle bracket looks good, are you going to bolt it down to the floor?
The back part shows no mounting points and rubs against the seat?

And ofc, will the purge lines come out near the hood?

N2o jet 35. Fuel 18. Expected power delivery 35-50hp for a little umph to the aFe intake and 3 stage manifold swap with 330 tune. Plugs are NGK TR6 gapped to .035 just keep for a comfortable N/A drivability during daily use.
The bracket has a rear rubber puck I designed not pictured to accommodate metal to leather contact. The main mounting based is bolted to the floor going into large threaded rivots I had tapped into the chassis floor. (Which can be plugged and hidden when not in use)
The purge line will be routed through upper firewall nearest cowel filters and just below driver side window.

Some purge routing action. Now it’s all buttoned up and waiting for a store run in the morning for longer bolts to mount the bottle bracket to chassis, ones I had were just too short. (Deciding on new spot more under the hood to keep from debri and water or just plug it as I will only have bottle in for out of town trips. (3-4 times a year). I can’t forget the home made hood prop lol I always refuse to buy new shocks for some odd reason.

This is one of the most well put together original DIYs I've seen in awhile. I find myself checking for updates daily now lol

Did they look worse than mine? The gap grew about 7 thou but compared to some copper plugs I’ve pulled in previous cars they didn’t look bad. My old plugs were Bosch

Couple of nifty things - enables BMW App support, so news RSS feeds on iDrive, iOS calendar integration, and web radio. Since it runs off the connected iPhone, it’s ironically way more useful today than the suecessor NBT systems, as they are reliant on the now-useless 3G modem built in to them.

Remote lock/unlock I believe was limited to the Fxx chassis.

Also geotags where the car was parked, which I suppose was a lot more nifty before iOS 7 came out and automatically did that when disconnecting from Bluetooth.

The Calendar integration is by far the feature I use most.

Mine looked like someone had them cooking on the grill lol gap was measured from .068-.075 across all plugs. Worst I’ve ever seen on any vehicle. Didn’t notice from driving other than a shitty 5 minute idle from start up.

70K miles, last month of production for the sedan (10/2011), so should have the updated HPFP/OFHG.

Space gray / black, steptronic with premium 2, sport, heated seats, and iDrive. Really excited to be back after driving the F10 around for the past 2 weeks - it’s a really nice boat but I missed the E90…

Last step will be getting it shipped from California back to GA - anyone have any recommendations for shipping companies?
Don't know if you've already taken care of this or not yet, but I've used these guys https://www.a1autotransport.com/ a couple times without issues (long distance enclosed fwiw).
