Need help with software install for V2

I finished testing the car with the by pass plugs in, with no codes or errors. So I took the bypass plugs out and attached the real plugs to the procede. I followed all the information in regards upgrading the firmware. What happens to me is that whenever I try to establish a connection with the procede and my computer (using V2 software), it always says something to the effect that Port 4 is not working. I tried other ports, but the same thing happened in those cases. What should I do!? Thanks in advance.

did you install the drivers for the serial to usb cable?

what Operating system?

is comm port 4 being occupied by anything else?

do you have another laptop to try?

did you use the search buttom?

was the cable connected to the laptop when you changing ports?

have you EVER used the PROcede software on that laptop before?

that should keep you busy for a while.

Dont try to use port 4 just because it says that in the install instructions. Use whatever port the device manager says the serial cable is on.

I figured out that the problem was that the female connector that connects to the orange wire was very loose and eventually broke off the harness. I think it got loose as I was trying to put the wiring into the front slot where the fuse and power port are. I know many people have installed it successfully and some are waiting to do so. For those just installing just be careful when handling the parts I mentioned so as to not bend or break off female connectors. Good luck.
