Have e92 330d 2006 & get a slight ticking noise under load as around 1500/2000rpm. It sounds like a tappet noise but goes above 2000rpm. Noise cannot be heard whilst stationary & just wondered if anyone else has experienced this ?

I have the same thing, albeit on a 325D

its like a rattley/tappetty noise.

even had my oil changed, and no change!

i have read a few reviews from back when they first came out, saying that the 6 cylinder diesels were a bit rattley at low revs?

id also like to know if this is just a trademark of these engines?

or there is something amiss? seems to drive fine?
