Forum newbie alert :) 330d owner

Hi all ! new member alert!!

Just made a little purchase of a e90 pre lci 330d auto.
Am impressed having changed from my old e39 525i msport. (which covered 224k) lol!
My first diesel car ever owned! And i am happy so far good fuel economy also compared to the old petrol.

Few changes to make. looking to lower. change wheels for 19s' just undecided so far.
black gloss front grill. possibly a remap at some point.
Anymore thoughts welcome !!

heres a few pics.

thanks for looking

Looks like a nice car with decent spec; leather, Nav, xenons etc. 330D is a great all rounder, enjoy

Great car you've got yourself, I had exactly the same one as you before my current car, the 330d is a great all rounder, if my daily mileage was to increase back to what it was before then I wouldn't hesitate in getting another 330d

I used to get 45+ mpg on a steady run on the motorway, impressive figures from a 3lt engine

I'd be happy with 45mpg . !!
Few bits to do . Think h+r springs first to drop it . Then decide on wheels . See how it goes from there

Lovley motor. I have recently moved to 330d. Similar specs to your car but E91 with electric steering wheel. Impressive car.

I'd suggest you to re-think about H+R springs as the drop is immense and ride becomes harsh.

I've had mine for about 8 months now and love it. Watch for the thermostats (there are two) they can affect economy. Mine also likes Shell Nitro... few quid more per tank seems to give a bit quicker response and better economy too. I get about 42 mpg from a 46 mile daily round trip.

Cool thanks all. I'll be sure to keep a check on the stats . Have inquired about a remap also . Just wondering if any of you have had it done and thoughts on results ??
Cheers

I agree with Sam, go for Eibach Pro springs rather than H&R

Missed your post about mpg, mine sits on 37.1 no matter how I drive it.
If I reset it before a long trip it clears 50 no problem

If I am not wrong, eibach only makes Eibach pro for 330d and not sportsline.
So double check that.

I had Eibach sportsline on my last car. They are very similar to H&R in terms of drop. First 2-3 months they were sweet but when the springs settled, I thought it was bit harsh.
However if I look at the handling, it was excellent. Way better than M sports and cornering was spot on!

Most of the forum members feel that eibach pro is better as drop is subtle and handling is slightly better than M sports.
