Robin Williams died
Speculation is suicide from asphyxiation.
It's sad. |

I guess he's been battling depression and substance abuse.

That sux. Great actor. Comic genius and depression seem to go hand in hand.

I find this so terribly sad!
He has been one of my favourites way back since Mork and Mindy. I just watch Angriest Man in Brooklyn on the way home on the plane and it made me laugh so much my son was giving one of those looks, even teared up a bit. He will be sadly missed, RIP. |

i was hoping it was a hoax this entire time, but when the sheriff's department confirmed it, it hit me like a ton of bricks.
First Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and now Robin Williams. RIP what a huge loss.

Enjoyed many of his movies, good will hunting, goodmorning vietnam and dead poets society comes in mind, but why somebody like robin williams was depressed? I dont know anything about his life to be honest but it seems to me hollywood celebrities dont have any problems and they create them on their own..

Here's a decent blog on his death: http://psychcentral.com/blog/archive...ue-to-suicide/ Stephen Fry did a great documentary on the topic in which he interviews other celebrities, this may be of interest to you - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808482/ Some insight into the disorder: |

I didnt know he was bipolar. I was mostly reffering to drug abuse. Like phillip seymour hoffman and so many other celebrities..

May i suggest the use of 'had', not 'was'. An illness isn't a person. Check out the Stephen Fry documentary, or the intro of the youtube one- big list of people who have been labelled based on symptom rather than cause. |
