There is nothing particular that is changed or done for a vehicle check. It is mostly a visual/manual inspection of drive train, suspension, belt's, fluids, tires, etc. As I watch/inspect my car all the time, and it was just in to the dealer for oil service 2000 miles earlier, I just reset the light. At 51K I was out of free maintenance, otherwise would have brought it in.

Some states/countries require a road worthiness check. If your state doesn't then just reset it.
I would have them check the serpentine belts, pulleys. The Dealer will not change the ATF. |

Visual inspection / Fluid check not really mandatory, i did mine at 52k . Reset it
Same process as oil reset except just slide on over to the icon for vehicle check.
