Question How do my logs look? (1st time ever doing data logging)

Hi Guys,

I've been meaning to do this since I replaced my slipping clutch back in April.

I took 2 logs, they were back to back 3rd gear pulls.

Let me know how they look if you don't mind, thanks.

2007 (12/2006) e92 335i - 180k KMs on it (112k miles)
-JB4 stage 3 G5 ISO (map 5)
-BMS DCI
-BMS cat-less down pipes
-91 octane (0% ethanol)
-RB PCV valve
-BMS OCC
-original, factory turbos
-3rd HPFP (all replacements done before I owned it...)
-brand new spark plugs
-brand new ignition coils
-walnut blasted ~6 months ago
-condition/version of injectors unknown (I've owned it for the last year and done nothing with them)
-1 brand new boost solenoid (plan to replace the other one soon too just for good measure)

I plan to do the pump gas BMS back end flash soon.

I also have 2 brand new waste gate actuators sitting waiting to be installed, not sure if its worth the hassle.

Car had brutal waste gate rattle when I bought it a year ago. Adjusted them myself using 200mbar vacuum pump as the target, rear one adjusted fine. Front one wouldn't tighten up nicely no matter how I did it, I'm guessing the arm on the front one is worn much worse than the rear one......

If I should be adding any other parameters to get the logs evaluated properly please let me know.

Thanks guys.

I think you can run map 2 with your mods fairly safely. That log looks pretty weak. Map 5 is best used with ethanol as it adjusts to octane level. Give map 2 a shot, and look into getting an intercooler to lower ur IATs

Thanks man. I've been thinking of making the switch to 94 octane. I'll fill up with it next time and take 2 logs on map 5 and 2 logs on map 2 and post those up to see what they look like.

Other than the BMS back end flash - a BMS charge pipe and 5" stepped core FMIC are next mods on my list.

From what I can tell on my phone you are octane limited... Your avg_ing is very high and it looks like your car pulled timing. You also have a nice boost spike (compressor surge) when you let off the gas. I would check your diverter valves or BOV. Add some e85 and do a few pulls to let map 5 learn/adjust. Good luck!

If you switch to 94 use Petro not husky. Also I find Map 2 works better overall as a daily with 94.

Thanks j1gilles and Igeniator - I'm gonna switch from Shell V-Power 91 to Petro Ultra 94 this Thursday/Friday when I fill up.

Also I'm going to replace the vacuum lines on my diverter valves and to the intake manifold because they are the only ones I haven't replaced yet. I already did brand new ones on the hot side and by the oil filter.

Could the surge be because I am 6MT and I threw down the clutch as soon as I hit 7k rpm rather than just letting off the gas? I assume not because if the diverter valves are working efficiently they should take care of it either way right?

FINALLY got around to doing some more logs after I switched to 94 octane and installed my VRSF FMIC and charge pipe + Tial BOV.

How do these ones look?
These are on JB4 map 5 with several 3rd gear pulls done before so it should be fully adapted.
